Taking "hardcore" punishment does not make a slave "real" or "unreal". They are two very seperate things. Being a masochist is one thing. Being a slave is another. A masochist needs pain. A slave needs to serve. Sometimes both qualities exist in the same person. Sometimes they do not.
A slave desires to serve, and in that desire, they may offer, or try, to do things that are beyond their capabilities. In that case, if the Owner desires that service, it is the Owner's responsibility to train up the slave's capabilities, whether that means getting them a new or better skill set, or if it means ramping up their pain tolerance so the slave can play harder.
It is a partnership that both must work on to meet the needs and desires, to be fulfilling, for both parties.
Oh yes, back to the original question, "what happen to all the real slaves?" They are out here. Some are already owned, some are waiting to be found, to be claimed by someone that earns their trust and surrender.
