This is an issue I would consider no less than ridiculous, but then there's that ruling. There are some issues that might stick in their craw.

Can a corporation vote ?

Can a corporation be imprisoned for a crime ?

Why are there different taxing structures for corporation vs. those for normal people ?

Would buying the product of a corporate candidate be considered a political contribution ?

Does a business have to be incorporated to run or can, for example, a local convenience store run by extension ?

I don't think we have much to worry about when it comes to the President because the requirement is to be a natural born Citizen. Natural born by it's nature defines a very different process than sending the paperwork to Delaware with a check for $500. This requirement does not exist for every public office though.

And then what happens if a corporation holding public office goes bankrupt, I mean totally, including a dissoloution and liquidation. Would they then be considered dead, and in the case of a senator would a governor have to choose a replacement ? Would he be required to choose another corporation ? Just what kind of vetting process would you think would ensue ?

This is probably not going to stand for long. The problem is there is only one court that can modify this ruling and they have already spoken. I still think this issue is not going to just go away.

Notwithstanding a scene in a movie years ago where a robot was sworn in as a US citizen. Really, if this weren't a matter of public record I would think that this is someone is blowing smoke.

A corporation can be as small as one person (so yes, a corporation would be able to vote, in that case, but I doubt they would be voting *for* the corporation, but *rather* for themself)

Which means, yes, a corporation can be charged with a crime, who actually pays the jail time would probably be up to who actually did the crime...or if its an individual that incorporated then sure he can go to jail all by himself.

Here is a link for you that breaks down the different ways you can incorporate and the taxation that goes with them....
http://www.fasteasyincorporationkits.com/ccorporationversusscorporation.htm

Seeing as how incorporation can actually protect an individual from being personally sued if he owned a store (in other words you sue the store, not the store owner), that can be beneficial to the person who owns the store (*IF* he incorporated)

I am only taking a guess here, but if a corporation was elected to do anything, ultimately there would be one designated person that would have to answer to anything (or the owner himself).

There can be several reasons why a person living in one state would want to incorporate in another state, but my gut reaction says, if there is a political agenda involved, it just can't be good.
