SternFather -> Brand new to the lifestyle, but not the attitude? (2/3/2010 4:54:07 PM)

My last relationship ended recently. While it wasn't officially a lifestyle relationship, what I valued most was the calm sense of peace and love that came with the sense of ownership I had for this woman. While very dominant to the rest of the world, she was very submissive to me. I love a woman with attitude, and I loved it even more that she would give up all control to me.

I'm not sure yet that I fit here,  but after reading some of the posts by some of the subs here and saying to myself, "yes that is exactly what I want from my partner", I think this is as good a place to start as any.

An old friend who I called after my relationship ended turned out to be a Domina, and she suggested this site to me. I know it is too soon since my last relationship to start anything new, but I am interested in learning about the lifestyle form both D/s alike. I would like to take some time to learn as much as I can while I work on myself and I hope you will indulge me as I do.

Welcome, SternFather. I love what you wrote and that you admire spirited women.

I like a guy who appreciates us girls with "attitude".

Enjoy!

Please ignore Blushes sad attempt to deflect attention from HER wise ass attitude by pointing out the wise ass attitude of another submissive.

Not that *I* have a wise ass attitude, mind you. I do not. For you see, in order to have a wise ass attitude, one must first be a wise ass. Therefore, it is not possible for me to qualify.

Blushes, on the other hand...is the total Wise Ass Package. *nods*

Now that I have been around for a week, I have some "stupid" questions. I have tried contatcting some people directly but am struggling to get any info, well at least the info I am looking for.

I feel these are too basic for the level of discussion on the boards.

If you have experience in the lifestyle and some patience and feel like helping me out by sharing your experience (not experiences) and answering some basic questions, please message me. I'm looking for Dom/sub alike.

Thanks

I don't there are any questions that can be considered too basic.

You know, I used to say "there's no such thing as a stupid question"....up until about a week ago.

This makes me wonder how you're asking for this information...not to mention what the information actually is.

Really?  There have been some pretty in-depth questions asked here and some amazingly deep answers given.

If you have experience in the lifestyle and some patience and feel like helping me out by sharing your experience (not experiences) and answering some basic questions, please message me. I'm looking for Dom/sub alike.

Sounds like you're looking for a mentor.  I would suggest giving it a shot here, maybe in the General BDSM forum, and see what happens.  I think most of the regular folks here can handle "basic questions".

Thanks

Have you used the "search" function?  Even though some threads may be old, there is a ton of information available here.
As far as asking questions, if they are well articulated and sincere, most people do not mind answering them on the forums, it is much less invasive than a personal conversation and more within many people's comfort zones.  Just some things to consider.
