My crockpot.  My cast iron. Alton Brown.

Ok I don't really have Alton in a cage in my pantry but I wish I did.

Sigh.

Aunt Fab says her big fat spoon and her spatula.

She has so many things in her kitchen that I don't even know what they all are!

ShellyD -> RE: The last kitchen tool you'd give up (2/5/2010 2:38:52 PM)

It is too hard to choose as over the years I have slowly built up a collection of quality cooking items, beautiful knives, Le Chassuer casserole dish 6 litre and a griddle pan by the same manufacturer both in cobalt blue, they do something to food that just improves the taste superbly. I also have a Romertopf, a terracotta casserole dish that also makes food taste fabulous especially peasant type dishes, ie chicken and vegetables. Then there is my wooden chopping board that is a work of art. only used for bread at dinner parties, my zwiss garlic crusher, ummm, so much more so I have totaly blown the topic lol.

I moved interstate 3 years ago so got rid of the junky bits and now only have containers with lids, matching sets etc and about the only thing I would give up is my day to day cutlery, (I have a beautiful heavy silver set for entertaining).
