It’s about bloody time he gave it to them with both barrels. People have been waiting for this for a long time. He needs to stop using Republicans as an excuse to not get to things done.

Obama rips Republicans for 'obstruction'

Washington (CNN) -- President Obama tore into the Republican opposition on Capitol Hill Wednesday, blaming the GOP for what he called politically motivated opposition on virtually every issue.

Here we go again. The republicans for the entire last year didn't have the votes to obstruct anything.

and look how well we've gotten along without their obstructionism. what is of concern however; since the republicans are washed up and they know it, why are they still bitching? whats the point?

No instead they have to engage their propaganda wing to get the real work done and get those namby-pamby moderate democrats quaking in their seats.

If the republicans really were washed up, the democrats would have held a Senate seat in Massachusetts. They have about 8 months to pass anything. It will have to get done before next November.

Ok sure, cause they have not used the filibuster and procedure to slow down every vote.  I'm not bitching, it is part of politics, but to deny they are doing it and act like they have been attempting to reach middle ground is pure BS

Obama might just have gotten a health care bill signed if he did what he said he would do. No one trusts the behind door, secret legislation.

Obama wouldn't have gotten a healthcare bill signed if he'd spent the last twelve months eating nothing but broken glass and drinking nothing but bleach in pursuit of transparency. Sorry.

Filibuster????? what filibuster, the Democrates have had a filibuster proof majority in the senate for the past entire year.

Blaming the Republicans is a bullshit partisan move to make sure they don't piss off the Blue dog Democrats they ran to get elected in moderate districts to get the majorities.

They are getting obstructed by their own party members.

BTW what was the view of obstruction (good thing or bad thing) when the Republicans had the majorities in both houses and the democrats obstructed Bush's policies?

Well Panda one could almost say Pick a Major Bill any Major Bill.

"By the end of George W. Bush's second term, there were an astonishing 52 filibusters per Congress. That's a 52-fold increase. Or to slice the data a different way, 8 percent of major legislation in the 1960s was subjected to delaying tactics like filibusters, according to Sinclair. By the last two years of Bush's term, a mind-boggling 70 percent of major bills were subjected to such tactics."

http://www.usnews.com/articles/opinion/2010/01/25/how-the-filibuster-changed-and-brought-tyranny-of-the-minority.html

BTW the article also speaks of the fact that the rise in filibusters really took off under Clinton.

The Dems have had the majority since 2006, and the super majority since 08. The Repubs couldn't block any legislation, no matter how bad they wanted to. Obama really has nothing to whine about, it's his own party fucking him up the ass.

Don't give me that old tired lie about him reaching across the aisle, after Obama, Reid & Pelosi decided to close the doors, and bribe the blue dogs. That bullshit just don't fly.

"Obama reaches out across the aisle" is a joke. Read the OP...

You don't "rip" people you're trying to reach out to. Even a moron like Obama should know that...
