Whats it got to do with the IMF? The Greeks have formulated the austerity plan, with advice from the IMF and from the ECB, but Greece isnt under IMF management? Although the IMF has offered more substantive help, Greece is confident its plan should put things right in a year or two. Meanwhile the Eurozone states doing better have said that the Greeks should not expect a bail out from them, even though this particular situation and the like in Portugal, Spain and Ireland may affect the Euro overall, and that the Greeks must sort it out themselves. The problems in Greece are on account of the people not liking the fact that they are expected to suffer when the Gods get it wrong. We could yet see the same all over Europe; Greece and Iceland already have public protests running. The only country in a similar situation which wont see protests will be the UK, where it seems they can fxxk us any way they like and we'll say thank you. E

if they dont comply they risk staying in the Euro zone. the big banks want to set the austerity. the IMF is such an organization. it is important to see what others are doing- per this fight. because if they roll over- then we are finished. the fact that Greece and Iceland do not agree to big bank demands- is of note here. because we are all scheduled for austerity- weather we know it or not. the top brash pushes and figures we consent- up to the point of riots. so unless there is riots the looting by the big banks can continue- with the tactic approval of the public. I don't think that England will stay laying down this time.... not when the full intents are known by the masses. It wont go over here in America either. So Greece and Iceland are a beta test. I see hope for humanity when I see those peoples say NO.

It isnt a matter of the people standing up and thereby maintaining their lifestyle though? The fact is, we have exported our wealth creating base and so no longer have the means to support those lifestyles - they have only been preserved these last two decades by way of incoming credit keeping finance, retail and service sectors buoyant. Protest all you want, you get the medicine either way - take it like a good boy and you might just be kept wealthy enough to continue to participate in the game, make things difficult and you'll be cut off with nothing, not by some NWO but by way of the bond markets and their affiliates. E

One of the other problems is, that the Union has made several cuts to it's members over the years. While many higher up have not given up a thing. Plus, a large part of greece's debt is from that little sports fest they had a short time ago. They borrowed and borrowed and it failed. Makes me really glad that Chicago did not win, because it would have be the same thing.

Hopefully Greece devolves into anarchy and their women are sold to fat Americans, like myself. 2 of the most attractive women I've met in real life were largely greek in ancestory. HEHE, I kid I kid... Not.... I kid...[;)]

The soaring deficits in PIGS (how appropriate an acronmym for socialist countries!) may require deflation. Since they are unable to deflate their own currency, their problems threaten the EU and the Euro. It is one of the main drivers in the drop in our stock market over the last week.

It's the first time that I know of where you have independent economies linked to each other through a common currency. Should prove interesting. If this does go south, expect the idea of an Amero to die on the vine.
