[sm=welcomewave.gif] You did just fine [;)]
Have a read around the forums and you will see how we roll around here. I highly recommend the "Polls and Random Stupidity" section, because you just can't go wrong posting in threads like "Last one to post wins!", no matter what you say [:D]

Hello there!

I just checked your profile.  6' and 132 lbs, and you consider yourself "slightly" thin?

Anyhow, you asked how this site works.  There are two parts to it.  One is the forums (where you are now), which is sort of like a big party, with people discussing darn near anything.  The other part is the profiles-and-messaging side, which is more like a bar where you can approach people directly.

Bluntly, as a sub male, you're not going to have the luxury of hoping that female Dommes contact you.  So do a search there for Dommes who live close to you, and send messages to thos whose profiles you fancy.  Make it specific to them (:"I noted that your interests include bowling.  I belong to the Melbourne Midgets league and we're always looking for another player.  Would you be interested?"  as opposed to "Hi, I'm a submissive man and I think you're kewl.  Let's chat!").

Good luck and welcome!

Hi, and welcome!

Here's a few hints for collarchat survival:

Avoid the meatloaf, but bring LOTS of timtams and cookies
Don't pick on the fatties
Remember that every woman that wears boots is not a Domme, or necessarily into BDSM
Laugh at yourself, we WILL laugh with you..... or at you! LOL (we will also commiserate with you too, on those bad days)

You should do just fine! You're tall, slim, polite, and probably have one of those adorable Aussie accents.

Like wyld said, the Polls and Random Stupidity section can be alot of fun. We've become a sort of global family in that section.

adorable aussie accent? theres a first, most people think the aussie accent is unbelievably horrible. that said i watch way too much british tv so my accent goes all over the place while i talk.

thanks for the advice steven, but to be fair the height and weight is a pure guess, it sounded about right for me...maybe... :P

and thanks to everyone else who said welcome :D

KMsAngel -> RE: Hello (how unbelieveingly original is this for a thread title? :P) (2/6/2010 5:52:58 AM)

nono, aussie accent is considered vy cute and/or sexy over in these here forums.

wanders has the best accent. i have the 2nd best

there's a few other aussies around as well. but wanders and i are the most prevalent/annoying/cutest. she does have way better boots than any i could think of, though.

yes you do. I'm in Montreal, that's M-O-N-T-R-E-A-L Canada. Mind the snow, you may want to bring skis or snowshoes.

jaseo -> RE: Hello (how unbelieveingly original is this for a thread title? :P) (2/6/2010 6:30:25 AM)

actually ive always wanted to go to Vancouver , seems like a cool place. be nice to see some snow (never have besides tv).

but first, back to japan. best place in the world

zephyroftheNorth -> RE: Hello (how unbelieveingly original is this for a thread title? :P) (2/6/2010 7:08:42 AM)

Vancouver is gorgeous but for snow you are better off somewhere more East. Winnepeg isn't called Winterpeg for nothing [;)] I've heard that Japan is amazing, never been there though.
