i think much of that part of the discussion came about because i posed a question if enough air/oxygen was allowed into a plugged area which contains bacteria.  The mouth is not plugged 24/7 (although we can dream....lol) so it doesn't work to compare the two. 

Regardless, when i have had to wear a plug long term, i was always requested to remove it every 60-90 minutes for 5-10 minutes or so to allow my body to breathe, so to speak.  Maybe it was just me, but after several hours, some serious itching would occur otherwise.

This thread really concerns me.  It is NOT safe to wear a butt plug for extended periods of time!!  I know there are those who really love the sensation of something probbing and prodding in their bums, and dominants that like the idea of stretching and keeping the asshole open.  HOWEVER......... liking something and safety are not things that necessarily go hand in hand.  When a butt plug is introduced, it is extending the flexibility of the outer and inner sphincter muscles.  Prolonged insertion is used to retrain the sphincters to setting a new closed point.  The sphincters are like elastic bands, allowing them to be stretched; however, there is a point when the elasticity wears out.  If this happens, it can cause the sphincter to actually snap which requires an extremely painful surgery to correct.  I know of one boy on this website that has had to have it done a couple of times. 

A more common side effect of the continuous wearing of a butt plug is that the muscles are looser and not able to perform their PRIMARY function of keeping human waste from slipping out until the person is ready.  A friend of mine who has an avid interest in anal play had this discussion with a color-ectal specialist who told him he would recommend limiting the use of butt plugs to no longer than 90 minutes.  Now, I figure that doctor was probably doing the safe thing like saying to only take two tylenol for a head ache; however, I wouldn't go more than three or four times his advized time frame.  (So between 4 1/2 to 6 hours max).

Whatever you decide to do, remember there are limitations of the body for a reason, and after about 15 minutes...... you've already opened it up for pretty intense use.

Status: offline 		i am kept permanently plugged by my Mistress. i was given a set of butt plugs and a harness when i entered my enslavement. At that point in life, i had only ever worn a butt-plug about 5-6 times. While its comfortable to wear, it leads to cramping whenever it fills me with for an entire day as a punishment.

So... long story short, 24/7 wear is entirely possible. While i have become fond of the continual pleasure my butt-plug gives me, i still find it terribly humiliating to be controlled like this. i no longer even control my most private of private parts! i personally find that being permanently plugged is a powerful yet discreet and secretive reminder of my status. Mistress Taryn likes how the butt-plug humbles me and makes me a lot more submissive towards Her. Mistress Taryn tells me that i am to remain plugged for the rest of my life.

i will share this from my own experience and hopefully what i am making clear. we all have our own make up and all have different attitudes to what some call discomfort or pain. a pain plug for me is the 11 inches circumference and 10 inches in length.

i am well known in the uk for being very receptive anally as many of my performances at some of the top clubs like skin two and torture garden have involved fisting to retrieve animal oragns from my ass such as a cows heart along with intestines. this is great for shock effect.

i mention this as a way of demonstrating that i am not just a fantasist. if anyone wants pics pm me and i will show you.

my point is this having got into wearing my plug attached to my tail for 24/7 for a couple of weeks at a time i pointed out to my Mistress that it does give me issues when i take it out as i have actually started producing my own lube. yes you heard me. big plugs are like being constipated and the body produces its own lube which is a bit like a very glutenous j lube that helps the body shift blockages.

it is possible to release gas down the side of a plug and when i get too much lube build up it is like having a major constipation which means going for a lube dump. you dont have to remove the whole plug as just taking it out a bit and turning it before reinstalling it does it for me.

As a result of this W/we discussed it and then moved to just having the plug in at waking times so when i went to sleep i could take it out, but i did spend ages with enemas before hand and even then the lube is produced naturally.

my most favourite and comfortable plug is attached to my puppy tail, it is egg shaped with an anvil that sits between the cheeks.

i have been permanently changed around my ring piece but can most definitely still hold my own but struggle to keep in tiny plugs like the doc johnson large one which i have to push all the way in so that it is all inside and not visible until i open myself manually and get one side out before pushing it out using my body. this can be uncomfortable as it is pushing down on the ring pece from the inside.

i have many plugs as they are selected for specific purposes but lets be realistic pain is a subjective concept as is danger, some think what i do is dangerous, to others it is having fun.

how about driving a car with a plug...what if you get yerself in an accident and in hospital they notice this plug protruding...lets assume you survive the crash...could you be done for driving without due care and attention? would you enjoy the embarrasment of the court case...
anything exept breathing 24/7 in my opinion is a dumb idea

I have worn one for sleeping for time to time, I have no problem with that. However I can see one problem with 24/7 use of a but plug, just like with your feet if you always wear heels the musculature in your butt will begin to adjust to the plug so that eventually it will not close all the way and you will have to train to be able to not wear one again, also if you are going to wear one 24/7 it would have to be taken out and washed regularly, I would say at least once a day, and if you got any irritation or infection it would have to be taken out.

Windychymes, as for Thongs, I am getting use to them. At least they don't give a big a "WEDGIE" as a Dance Belt. But then again, it does help to hold a small Butt Plug in. Here I go with Butt Plugs again.
