Sir and i discussed the subject punishment before i moved in with him. He is not one for physical punishment, unless it is really necessary. He feels I am a adult and I need to act according. If I need to be discipline he will use other measures like time out, writing an essay etc. For myself, I do not wish to be punish, since it really does no good for Sir or me.

I have one boy who does not respond to pain so I ground him instead. his currency was poker for awhile, so I took away his poker stake. Then it was Law and Order so I took away the cable cord. It's also effective to suggest to His/Her sub to write down his/her goals and then follow through. It all depends on the slaves currency.

Worse punishment I've given? We're talkin' actual, "you've done something so bad that you need to be punished" stuff here, not "funishment?" I told Kitten that I was extremely disappointed by her actions, and that I did not approve. Hit her like a punch to the chest. Worst punishments I can think of? Five-to-ten-page persuasive essay writing assignment, writing from a perspective that the sub in question does not agree with, backed up with research and sound logic. It must be perfectly punctuated and grammatically correct. Poison ivy. 'nuff said. I don't know anyone who enjoys that. Give 'em a cold on purpose. Given how much I feel like butt right now, seems like a pretty effective punishment to me.

Hmmm... I am looking for the question within the question. Why are you so concerned about punishments? Because punishment frightens you. 1. Dont be naughty and you wont be punished. 2. Know that when you are naughty your Dom will decide the proper punishment that will help you to learn to be good. 3. After you have been punished be grateful for having been corrected from your bad behavior. Dont say you dont trust your Dom to punish you properly. Because if that is the case "Why the hell are you with him in the first place?"

The worse punishments I've given are the ones where I make somebody see the ugly truth they did not want to see. It's made a few drop to their own knees in tears over the realization. Then again, it was not my intention to punish them, so it really was not about punishment at all.

For me, and probably for other masochists I'd say to be left alone/sent away not spoken too etc. Since punishment is a behavior modifier, sometime remorse after an incident in which one has done something wrong is sufficient.

Worst punishment? I had to work in a garden in the hot sun until I was actually hallucinating from lack of water. Yeah that sucked big time.

The important thing is that it should be a real punishment - that is something the slave will NOT enjoy. If your slave likes to be caned then caning is mnot an appropriate punishment. You need to know your slave well enough to know what they enjoy and what hey don't. In general I find written punishments are effective. e.g. lines ("I must not displease my Master and must try to be a better slave" written out 1000 times). And to make it doubly effective you can make him/her get down on all 4s to do the lines while you use their back as a footstool. To treble the suffering I have even put headphones on my slave as he is doing this and made him listen to some kind of music that I know he dislikes. That's a really good one because it is not only unpleasant for them but it distorts their senses as well; they have no idea whether you are watching TV or talking on the phone etc. I'm told it is very dispiriting because it breaks the link with their Master. I also like the idea suggested above from the Master who makes the slave write an essay explaining why they have displeased you. It forces them to think about it and makes sure they understamd completely what they have done wrong. When they have finished you can read the essay in front of them, silently. or make them read it out to you. or just tear it up without reading it! Thats quite good because it shows contempt for their hard work. lol. I've made a slave copy pages ut of the phone book as well. I've had a slave in the past who was very shy and I made him go out and run round the park near where I live, wearing only shorts and a thin T-shirt. You might think thats not really all that humiliating for many people, but he is very very shy and self conscious so for him it was mortifying. (Thats what I mean about knowing your slave). I sat at the window and watched him, and gave him orders over the mobile phone telling him to run faster!! I like punishments - as you can probably tell. LOL

Ok...do you mean punishment in the form of playing where both are enjoying the interaction or do you mean punishment as a way to correct or modify inappropriate behavior or actions? Until you have a specific reference, I can't give an opinion.

I suppose I'd have to pick the topic, otherwise the temptation to try to get away with a nice topic might overcome the punishee. As for editing... B.A. in English with a vocabulary that stumps my spell-checker, an attention to grammar detail that's bordering on the insane, and four years' worth of having to draft, re-draft, and polish writing assignments for professors of multiple disciplines. Kitten lives in fear of the day I assign her an essay.
