If you have a house that is drafty at the base of your doors you can always make "snakes". Take lengths of cloth and sew it it together, fill with kitty litter then decorate with eyes, etc. using pieces of glued on felt or use coloured markers. Lay at the bottom of your doors to stop the draft.

Google homemade bath products.  Thousands of little luxuries that can be made at home.  My favorite quickie is to add scented oil to unscented liquid soap.  You can call it shower gel or bubble bath (add a teaspoon of lotion or mica to one or the other to get a varied look.)  Same can be done with unscented lotion for a personal touch.  Hand sanitizer gel is also easy to make.
1 c. aloe vera gel (found in any health food store)
1 t. rubbing alcohol (can also use 100 proof vodka)
2 t. glycerin (health food store)
8 drops favorite oil scent
You can find bottles for most of this stuff at a dollar store, craft store, or the travel section of any pharmacy.
