Nothing weird falling in love. People have been doing it for thousands of years. What's weird is you thinking it's all weird, which is why you're getting weird responses from people.

If you really care for this person and you are having these feelings, let them know this is how much they mean to you. The level of trust that has been established between the two of you can make this happen very easily.
