Being also a determined X-Factor non watcher, they irritate me because they a) clearly have zero talent and b) keep intruding on my consciousness whether I want them to or not. I have an ex that does the same thing. Can I nominate her as the greatest crime her mother committed?

DarlingSavage, be glad you don't know. (it's a talent competiton on that there idiot box thing) KittinSol: I can imagine things that could be done to me which would result in me wanting to die. Watching my family executed in front of me, for example. For me at least, murder would indeed be a mercy under that circumstance. I admit my head is somewhat fucked up, or I wouldn't be here, but I think it's a valid point of view, regardless.

You're right, that did sound like a pretty mean thing to say. I was just trying to point out that sometimes survivors of abuse suffer long after the abuse has ended. Particularly when it comes to developing meaningful relationships and a hundred other things that make life worthwhile for so many people who take those same abilities for granted and don't understand when other people can't do those things. I don't think that you should be so quick to resort to vitriol, you never know where someone is coming from.
