Well it's not an ideal solution, but I have found a way that makes it less annoying. I lay the cover out on the bed, open end at the bottom. Find the ends of the duvet, take one top corner, and guide into the top corner of the laid out cover then feed the other corner into the other top. Then I grip the cover and duvet by the corners, stand on the bed, and shake it vigorously. Wah la. button it up and it's good to go. I've tried to get Master to help me, but really He can only assist in the shaking part, as He's a lot taller than me with longer arms, so it's easier for Him. Definitely more annoying than a regular comforter, but I have yet to find anything as warm and snuggly as a duvet. Being able to wash the covers is a big bonus, washing comforters gets them all pilly and lumpy, which I hate. The cuddly warmness is worth the extra effort to me.
