Of course he could learn to express himself better or at least realize how it will look in the media.

Agreed, though I'm not sure he really cares how he comes off in the media. As with any celebrity, I look past what the media reports and try to look at their craft whether it be music, acting, etc. Mayer has talent. I may not care for the songs he writes but he can play the hell out of a guitar. Eric Clapton isn't impressed by someone with no talent and he thinks Mayer has what it takes. So do I. I think he should focus more on his playing and less on his writing. I love hearing him play the blues.........luci

Ah, John Mayer. The man who encouraged people to "wait for the world to change."

Don't do anything constructive, don't mobilize, don't try to effect change yourself, just...wait. Sit there, and wait. Great message.

I am a Will Smith fan, even after he said he would never touch a spooky White bitch like me....

I do not like the way Mayer comports himself when talking about someone he has been intimate with, the Jessica Simpson TMI makes him look like a total douche bag

sigh...not the only reason I'm not interested in him I was just responding to the conversation

but you and Will have a marvelous time

Basically before all this I could take him or leave him, so doesn't hurt me one little bit to leave him.  There are way better blues players than him out in the world.

And he's allowed to have any preference he chooses...who cares.....what really gets me is that these women date him, and I'm assuming basically has some kind of trust  and feelings for him and he just trashes them in the media.

I've heard plenty of "stars" refuse to answer questions about their love lives, why doesn't he just stick to playing the damn guitar   LOL

True, Jeff; he's good, but I'd run over him in order to get a chance to hear Robin Trower or BB King.

I read the interview.  He has a serious problem with running his mouth and being a self-absorbed, narcissistic jerk.

He's so hot I'd give him a free pass and do things to him that Jessica Simpson never dreamed of .

While I must confess, I am not a "fan" of his, and I think he talks like a douche bag immature idiot who opened up his mouth and inserted two of his feet... well, I hardly think that his stupid mouth deserves to get him a lifetime of ridicule and a ruined career... I mean it isn't like he is Bernie Madoff or something, or like he killed someone, or raped someone. He said some stupid shit... and almost everyone I have ever known has said stupid shit they wish that they could take back. Like Danforth Quayle said...

quote:

Every once in a while, you let a word or phrase out and you want to catch it and bring it back. You can't do that. It's gone, gone forever.

He has talent, which is more than many who are media creations in the music industry, which is littered with untalented, over produced garbage disguised by recording tricks in the studio...

Appearance is lower in importance than intelligence, character and attitude for me.  His attitude and the lack of discretion means he is of no interest .

Who the hell is... Oh I see why he shortened it to Dan. I know I wouldn't vote for some guy named Danforth. Or Candy.

Both him and jessica need some help with their uncouthness. You take mayer and I will take jessica. *Rubs hands together in an evil manner* Eccellente.
