Plus, isn't it a little bit prejudiced to assume that anyone purple and fuzzy is automatically a satanic dinosaur prince regent sent from hell to ensure that all people who ever have to look after a child are driven slowly insane?

It is a deep pychistic(?) thing to me. I have been tortured by my DD when she was in preschool. She learn how to rewind the video tape and that Barney played day in and day out...to this day, if someone has mentioned Barney or showed me a stuffed Barney, I fight my urges to kill the beast.

Now would be a good time to take some meds and go lay down. I am snowbound and there is no Barney in sight...

For me it was my cousin. She was four and completely obsessed. And a bit tantrum-y, so it was hell on earth if you tried to put something else on...
