I feel the same way about this book I feel about _Fascinating Womanhood_ and _The Surendered Wife_ They're great if they work for you, but as soon as they start to be touted as "the way all women should act" I get up in arms.

I haven't read it, but I just went and read a review of it. It sounded a little Stepford Wife-ish to me, although that could have just been the reviewer's take. But I do agree with perverseangelic, if it works for you, great! I'd be interested to see an alternative view of it.

Made me want to vomit (Oh and my Beloved said it was creepy )....but thats just me ...it might be just the thing for some folks ...not for us though

Marabel Morgan wrote this book (if I rememer correctly) somewhere in the early 60's--it was designed to bring back the June Cleaver aspect to marriages---she was also a teacher and lecturer during that time--however, not long after that, "bad girls" burned their bras and fought for rights--(note I left out the word equal--I won't even go there)-- She remained as a fad for about 3 years max I'd say and fell into the abyss of passing fads-- Now I do not knock her ideas as I try to keep an open mind, but she did have some "Stepford" like thoughts in there---but the core theme was total submission and commitment to "your man and family". I think she may have been Topping from the bottom(?)
