He’s leaving? How sad. Millions of people have to pay for expensive medicine, can’t get cheaper generic drugs and have no health insurance because of this creep. Now that Tauzin is gone will Obama continue to say they have a deal? Because Democrats are almost as corrupt as Republicans I don’t expect the change Obama promised during his election even with the Democrats senate loss in Massachusetts. It appears Obama thinks people are stupid and he can get away with doing nothing so I hope people make him learn the hard way with further losses. Hopefully, people will vote for real independents next time not Republicans masquerading as Democrat light.
Billy Tauzin Stepping Down as Head of PhRMA
The head of PhRMA announced last night that he is leaving his job. The development comes amid uncertainty over the fate of President Barack Obama's health care overhaul, which the drug association had backed after striking an $80 billion deal with the White House and Senate Democrats to limit costs to the industry in the legislation. Tauzin said in a statement yesterday that when he steps down in the summer he will have completed the 5 1/2 years of service he agreed to when he took the job. He said he will continue to serve as a consultant for PhRMA.
