Schumer prepares latest attempted Supreme Court reversal
In the latest apparent attempt to reverse the January 21 Supreme Court decision allowing corporations and unions to once again participate in election campaign, Senator Charles E. Schumer (D-NY) and Representative Christ Van Hollen (D-MD-8) are preparing to issue new legislation to bar foreign corporations, government contractors, and TARP recipients from participating in the electoral process. It sounds reasonable, but is it?
