Seeing as there is a conflict of beliefs on the 9/11 situation, I have created a poll in the relevant section of this website to see where the majority lie on this matter. I have listed only three options to choose from, terrorist actions, inside job and other, I have casted my vote.

I invite others to cast theirs

@ thornhappy-  i dont think a 757 can fly 500mph plus at sea level-  its top speed of .8 mach is like at altitude or something.

im fairly sure that in a jetliner, if you go too far nose down it isnt recoverable... but the pentagon plane was supposed to have flown level close to the ground for a minute there-  it didnt dive in

well the proper way to do it is have him write up a deposition describing exactly what he saw best is to have someone ask him questions, size color dimensions where he was standing time in sight etc etc etc and then have a notary swear him in to the truth in the affidavit and that he is willing to stand under his full commercial liability stating he is willing to testify in front of the grand jury and sign it with a thumbprint.

Now you want something that I am willing to believe, that is the way to do it because if he is lying his ass will be in jail for a very long time.   I have yet to see anyone claiming to see a plane go on the record "FOR REAL".

Cruising speed 500 mph. Top speed 609 mph.

You didn't answer my question.  Where did the plane parts come from?  You know, the engine parts and flight recorders?

I know that there were no planes. It took me some time to realize that. I did investigate some or all of the wrong airplane ideas, but eventually I concluded that all of them were false trails and - independently from others (I may have been the first) - that in fact at none of the four sites was an airplane that crashed.

0.8m at sea level is 500 mph. Don't forget that the spec is max safe speed (no airframe damage).  You can go higher than that.

Come on. There's no such thing as "sea level speed."

If the damn thing is in the air, and can fly fast, it can fly that fast at sea level.

And, as Thadius noted, aided by gravity, quite a bit faster--like any other falling object.

It is more about speed and altitude when it comes to recovery. Speed and altitude for the obvious reason of inertia continuing the path into the ground before the aircraft regains horizontal flight. Also, at a given speed for each aircraft the control surfaces are unable to overcome the forces.

That being said it is common for gliders to trade altitude for speed, that speed carries over for awhile in the horizontal glide. Same principal applies here. Not that they were trying to gain speed, but perhaps trying to get a better view of the target (this of course is speculation on my part).

I noticed that Tim looked up the speed ratings for the 757, and 500 mph is right in the sweet spot for that particular plane.
