Well, it seems most of America agrees she is a nut and should never be president, even the far right say it, her supporters still believe in her http://thinkprogress.org/2010/02/13/savage-palin/ If you want Obama for a second term, just make sure that Sarah Palin is the Republican nominee. … And I am telling you, that if they make that idiotic mistake of pushing her as their lead candidate, it’s over; Obama will get a second term, no matter how bad his presidency has been. That’s my opinion. It’s one man’s opinion. It doesn’t mean I don’t agree with her politically. It doesn’t mean I think she’s a bad person. She’s not electable as president. She doesn’t have…the gravitas. He doesn’t either. That doesn’t mean — She’s not the right person. We need a businessman. We need someone with guts, preferably someone who’s served in the military. That means we have nobody. And please don’t tell me about Mr. Brown. God! Please! I warned you! Don’t Obama-size these guys.

But as I mentioned in another thread, I really don't think she can be taken seriously as a forerunner. Not after showing herself to be a quitter. I disagree she's a nut - that would imply some sort of intellectual failing or dishonesty. I rather tend to regard her as being as dumb as a box of rocks - something which is not insoluble but which in its resolution would necessarily lose her the popularity she currently enjoys in some quarters. E

I listen to Dr. Savage quite a bit and he's right on the money most times and he's right about Palin too, she's unelectable. And if Obama keeps heading in the direction he's going he'll be very easy to beat.

I live in a very conservative household, it is about as far right as you can be without falling off.. and the consensus here is that Palin should not run nor does she have a snowball's shot in hell of winning.

Mr. Savage is correct: she can not beat Obama. Mr. Savage is not a republican but rather independent thinker conservative. His sharp often painfully truthful tongue irritates both Democrats and Republicans. Obama has disappointed almost everybody (except "Robber Barons"). The big hope and change he promised has been replaced with the hope he will deliver eventually something positive. I see no chance it happening. I do sympathize with Savage; some people genuinely care about the future of the country.

I consider myself a moderate since I still believe in government ran social security, but I'm a fiscal limited federal government conservative. I agree that Palin would be a huge mistake. She's another open borders, free trade lunatic. Exactly what McCain was. The sooner we spread the word about Palin, the sooner we can write her off. Personally, I like Lt. Col Allan West (100% black) who is running for Congress in Florida. Now, this guy is a true patriot, and he could care less about being politically correct to brainwash the masses. We would take half the black vote with this guy, and it would help remind people that there are some black people out there with common sense too. In case you haven't figured it out yet, the liberal media is always going to promote open borders, free trade lunatics. It's absolutely amazing they even gave Ron Paul any free publicity at all. Perhaps because they knew that very few people were willing to elect a guy who wanted to do away with social security. They don't even tell you the true unemployment rate is always a few points higher than the official figures, and they sure don't tell you that the black unemployment rate is over 16%. They only tell you what they want you to hear. Fox is the only network that will even begin to tell both sides, and when they do they get hammered by the liberals. You have to be smart enough to vote against their agenda.
