For somebody who needs pain needs met, rough sex is romantic.

If you're asking if any subs like sensual domination instead of s & m, the answer is yes.

If you are hoping to have a couple of dozen write you as a result of this thread, prepare to be disappointed.

Any other questions?

OP
I'm not going to feed into the obvious 'lose-lose' battle of the posters before me. What I will tell you is in your future posts, should you chose to stay around and make any more, you might want to think more carefully and chose your words better. I get what you are asking. I think the real question you are asking is "Is it possible to have both D/s or M/s and romance" and the answer to that question is a very simple yes.
I would caution you to stick around and spend some time reading the boards to get a feel for where to post, how to post, who's feedback to buy into ..... those types of things.
Kali

Were you referring to my reply? I was being very serious to a post that was obviously a personal ad.

UniqueRaven -> RE: ROMANCE AND THE LIFESTYLE (2/14/2010 8:11:21 AM)

There is a great deal of romance in being brought to one's knees.

rockspider -> RE: ROMANCE AND THE LIFESTYLE (2/14/2010 8:23:15 AM)

Aren't we all looking for something different in here. Of course there is a true way for me (and you), but that is not necessarily the true way for the rest. The trick is to match the right people together. I can only quote the great Clint Eastwood. "It works for me"

Don't know about the rest of these yahoos, but I mislaid my glasses and read smiting as smiling.

Couldn't figure out what smiling power is.

slavekal -> RE: ROMANCE AND THE LIFESTYLE (2/14/2010 12:05:08 PM)

No, you are not the only one. Love and female domination can be very nicely intertwined.

krazykatelyn -> RE: ROMANCE AND THE LIFESTYLE (2/14/2010 1:39:36 PM)

I don't really know what romance is but I believe that love and a d/s relationship can co-exist. You'll hear some people say that it can't; but I guess that depends on the person. Some people have strictly D/s relationship, some have more. Whatever works for you:) I've only had one relationship in my life, and with my limited experience I can say that I couldn't picture myself getting into a D/s relationship if it wasn't built on a meaningful emotional relationship, and I also couldn't picture myself getting into a serious emotional relationship without D/s.

That's my bit, I hope it helps. Good luck, I hoe you find what you're looking for

Good Day to all. I have been on and off CM for a few years and I have one general question. Am I the ONLY person who believes that True Affectionate Passionate Romance can be well entwined within this lifestyle? This life style is FAR more then about pounding rough face slapping disrespectful sex and/or fucking....I am a Strong Intelligent TRUE Dom Gentleman but also possess a Very Old fashion Hopeless Romantic nature....So any Submissive Women out there anywhere seeking that or am I chasing a dream.

fast response....

Absolutely not!! I love romance... I love flowers, candy, scented candles, slow love making... etc... I love all that! with a twist ;) In My 24/7 relationship it's usually not all face slapping and fucking... more often than not, it's hand holding and I love yous.... (then when the kids are in bed, it's face slapping and fucking)

this TRUE domme/dom or TRUE sub/slave...is this an acronym for something? [>:] is it a club?  I keep seeing it...I know it can't be the obvious meaning of the word true because that just wouldn't make any sense.

dammit, I never get invited to join the clubs... or to show people those "gates" they are always looking for! Uhmph!

FetishRose -> RE: ROMANCE AND THE LIFESTYLE (2/15/2010 9:14:55 PM)

I find everything about my relationship romantic. Whether he is being "old fashioned" and opening the door for me, pulling out my chair, or gazing adoringly into my eyes as he is kissing my hand, or whether he is slappng me until I cry, or choking me, or fucking me purely for his pleasure, I know that he thinks the world of me, and loves me with all his being, as I love him.
I'm a terrible romantic, and so is he. There are those of us that love the romantic side of a relationship as well as the kink, and often the two can be entertwined.

CelticNightmare -> RE: ROMANCE AND THE LIFESTYLE (2/15/2010 9:18:51 PM)

Op..............

What could possibly be more romantc than tying her down, slapping her ass beet red and buggering her vigorously while she squeals like a truckload of pigs with the brakes laid on at 75 mph??

Perhaps we just have different VIEWS of what romance IS?

lucylucy -> RE: ROMANCE AND THE LIFESTYLE (2/15/2010 9:36:44 PM)

I have no use for romance or disprespectful sex, personally. But rough sex, slapping, bondage, flogging, humiliation . . . and the accompanying intense intimacy and trust and love . . . now that I have a use for.

Whatever works for you.

EbonyWood -> RE: ROMANCE AND THE LIFESTYLE (2/15/2010 9:39:19 PM)

I really like lucy.
