Valentine's Day Tarot Reading (Full Version)

(mods I wasn't sure if this was the correct place or p&rs would be better, but since it is off-topic, and not a joke thread I put it here; please feel free to move it if I chose incorrectly)

So, I've been playing with Tarot cards for years, and recently been learning more. I'm trying to get some practice in, so for the first five people who ask (I may up it at another time, so don't worry if I can't get to you!) I will do a reading. Give me as much information as you think I may need; the more info I have, the more specific I can be with you.

Pick a subject you would like a reading on from the list below and ask me a question that cannot be answered with a yes/no. The only thing I would like in return is feedback.

1.) general
2.) relationship (can be lover, friend, child, boss, whatever)
3.) work
4.) creativity

Some examples of questions:

"why is M. avoiding me?" (M. may not be avoiding you, it may only be your perception that M. is doing so, therefore your answer will be flawed.)
A better question might be "What do I need to know regarding my relationship with M.?" or "What should my actions be regarding my relationship with M.?"

I may be called away due to work, family or Honey Master issues; *lol* If you're one of the first five who have asked, just be patient, and I will get back with you as soon as I can!

If anyone else does Tarot, it would also be interesting for others who would like to to answer these questions as well, as different people may be given different insight.

For those who are interested, I'm using Kat Black's Touchstone Tarot. It's very new to me, but lovely.

Hey Kalista...why don't you think about it a bit? It's not an either or...although you don't want to do it too often. Every few months is good. Write me on the other side, and I'll help with clarification if you'd like.

Johnnie...do you want me to read you? I didn't really understand what you said.

For some reason, most of those who answered, answered me on CM. If you're shy and you need a reading that's fine.
I kinda wanted to do a few public readings...they don't have to be intense if you don't want them to be. Just something to show what I can do.

Ok, I'm gonna go play games with my children now...I'll be back later!

Okay I have one for public view. I think.

I have an aversion to dating guys with blue eyes. I have had relationships with men with the blue eyes but if a guy contacts me and I find out his eyes are blue I dont like it. It is like an allergy. I would be with a man with blue eyes if everything else was right but I wonder why I have this affliction. Is it simply preference or?

i've been playing with a beginner's deck for awhile now, too. i haven't done any readings for other people yet, only myself. i'm not brave enough for that yet, lol.

But... i can volunteer for a public reading, if you like. i just need to think of a question. [&:]

Oh, and i looked up that Touchstone deck - it looks intriguing. [:)]

haha ok, I'm definitely not gonna finish the ones I have on order tonight. But I will finish them, I promise!

It's now time for me to step away from them, and to rest.

I do look forward to finishing the ones I've been talking to you guys about! (and I hope some of them have helped!) I'm not extremely fast with them because with these, accuracy, rather than time, is of the essence.

I'll get back to this tomorrow!

Hi Heartcream!

I've never tried any past life stuff, so can't say anything about that, but here is the reading I did for you:

What has made you afraid of blue eyed men? (cards drawn: six of coins and four of coins for clarification.) One or more have made you feel like a beggar in the past. He (or they) was very miserly with money and affection. There was no balance. He was like Caesar, and you were just a subject. (in your mind)

How it affects you psychologically: (five of cups)You are so blinded to what is “wrong” with these gentlemen, that you never see what’s right. You turn away from the good because there is “bad”.

How it affects you practically: (magician) You turn people into what they are not. (in your mind.) You make things so just by speaking them or thinking them. You are blinded to reality.

What you can do mentally to counter it: (queen of cups) You have a friend who is very comfortable for you to talk with. When you’re in her home, you feel comfortable and relaxed. She has very good advice…sometimes she’s kind of scary in that she knows what you need before you even ask it. She may be a bit psychic…talk to her, and let her help you.

What you can do in practical terms to counter it: (knight of swords)Be honest but not so blunt as to cut others with your opinions.

Likely outcome if this advice is followed: (two of wands)You will use your own intuition instead of your eyes to find your true passion; blue eyes or no!

Let me know if you need help! I have Kat's other tarot deck (don't remember the name right now) and it's amazing as well. If you read about how she made them, you can tell they were definitely a labor of love!

I did an insight spread on you.
This is the spread I used.

1*2*3******4*5*6

1-past attitude (ten of swords) Things can't get any worse. They are as bad as they can get. It's over.
2-past actions (ten of wands) You carried your burdens until you couldn't carry them any more. You felt drained and maybe a little lost.
3-card to sum up past (five of cups) After trying so hard, and feeling so put upon, you couldn't see the good in your life. You concentrated on what was lost rather than what you still had.

4-present attitude (five of coins) You wonder how you can deal with the losses you have suffered, oblivious to the spiritual energy (love) that surrounds you.
5-present actions (two of wands) You have had to choose between two passions. You have now made up your mind and are ready to claim your prize.
6-card to sum up the present (six of cups) You are feeling nostaligic for simpler times. You may send or receive a letter regarding this.

7-how the past made me who you are (magician) you have had to transform yourself, become someone you might not necessarily have become. You may not always have been that quick-witted charming personality, it's something you *had* to do in order to get by.
8-how the present influences who you are (four of wands) you have laid the foundation for the future, hearth and home are in your thoughts.

9-future attitudes (king of cups) Be careful not to let addictive behaviour take over your life. If you don't, you should expect happiness, family and love in abundance.
10-future actions (four of cups) Be careful not to become self-absorbed and apathetic to those around you. Remember to appreciate all the gifts you have been given!
11-card to sum up the future (five of swords) You need to be careful not to get lost in yourself, and ignore others.

12-final thought card (card to sum up the whole reading)(king of coins) You can run your own kingdom adeptly as long as you avoid pitfalls (generally of your own making) Beware of addictive behaviours and being apathetic in important relationships. You're the kind of person, everyone knows they can count on...at least when avoiding those two things.

A person has been on my mind a lot lately. Someone I thought was gone from my life. I am puzzled by their presence in my thoughts. What the hell is going on?

I love to create but have limited time to do so. I am great at starting a project then setting it aside due to time constraints. Then when I have time again, I pick up another project. Which means I end up having multiple projects sitting about half done. Writing, painting, photography, sculpture.... What should I focus on for now?

I was one of the shy ones who asked on the other side for a general reading.  (I couldn't decide which of my 3, 4, 5 or 6 questions to ask, so I shot for general.)

The reading I received was damn accurate! 

There were several catagories and with each and every one of them, I could easily relate it to current situations going on in my life right now or within the past couple of months.

There was one question I had that is still unanswered and now even more confusing but maybe it's something that I have to work through on my own.

If my reading is typical of xxblushesxx skill, she's got some awesome talent!
