Im rooting for America I mean we have a lot of diversity if you take out all the racism and high crime rates we ROCK!!!

Well, the States are likely going to win the MOST medals - but that's because they just have MORE athletes competing.

Proportionately, Canada all the way.

As much as I would like to see Canada win lots of gold, I doubt they will do much better than in the past, and am damn sure they will not live up to all the pre-games hype in the media...like our downhill skier who was supposed to be a shoo-in because he won a bunch of world cup races and Whistler was his "home-course", well he finished what...57....way to go!
And as to the size of the contingents...well Canada has the 2nd largest team (206 athletes) after the US (215), so if we are to win a lot more proportionally than the US we will have to win a lot more period.

lol it's because their chief competition in the winter olympics are countries like Canada, which won zero gold medals at home until this year

Nine athletes doesn't strike me as that big of a difference. Just saying.

I'm naturaly going to root for the U.S. but if we don't win a particular event, I'm always happy to see Canada win it.

I love fish and chips and while you can get a great fish fry around here it's not quite the same thing as fish and chips. I have to go to Canada to get a really good fish and chips.

Concerning your athletes, I've been trying to think of some way to say "perk up, it's not that bad," but then I saw the current medal standings. Well, the great thing about sports is... there is always next time.

Now if you'll excuse me a moment, I wish to brag...

WOO-HOO!!! WAY TO GO AMERICAN SKI LADIES! WHOOP! WHOOP! WHOOP!

(But damn, that course looks dangerous. What is with all the crashes?)

Lindsey Vonn...wins gold...on a day when the mountain was kicking everyone else's ass....some of those crashes were downright scary.
