I'm Taurus....the ex was Scorpio, the ex after him was a Scorpio, the current eye catcher is Scorpio...........hmmm no i see no pattern  [:D]

BrutalAntipathy -> RE: Astrology (3/28/2006 8:55:21 AM)

Perhaps I would take astrology a little more seriously if it took into account the newly discovered planets of Quaoar and Sedna in our solar system, other massive near earth objects, and the giant black holes that seem to be at the center of all spiral galaxies. It might help matters somewhat were astrologers to present a theory as to why the position of various massive objects would affect ones personality as well. Then again, I am sure that astrology is every bit as accurate as tea leaves and sheep livers for predicting the future.

LorgromAndMiskel -> RE: Astrology (3/28/2006 8:57:38 AM)

Taurus and Scorpio are not a good mix normaly. While both are quite passionate, they are passionate about diffrent things. Scorpio's (Lorgrom is one) as a norm are quite sexual (hence why so many find them sexy as hell), but have a tendency to take everything to extreams. To many Scorpios material possesions are just that possessions.  While a Taurus normaly is very passionate about collecting things (not that it is a bad). So once the fires have died down in the bedroom, its eventulay comes down to everything else. Scorpio normaly could care less about things (though as in true Scorpio paradox, once they do want something they have it no matter what) while the Taurus normaly needs to have more and more things to feel secure.

never claimed it was based on scientifically provable facts. as a matter of fact, this slave already explained that she perceives it as an ancient form of psychology and nature worship, neither of which are exact sciences in the present day.

I think that I would trust the Myers Briggs Personality test or the PDQ4 to be more accurate, but hey, thats just me.

Beth,

Have you ever read anything on eclipses? I used to have this really great book called "Spiritual Astrology" Basically it was about the prenatal lunar and solar eclipses that occured before birth and how they effect your life wisdom. It was a fascinating read. Might be worth a look.

tirnan -> RE: Astrology (3/28/2006 12:21:58 PM)

thankyou to mercnbeth,i tried the link,the resulting chart,was the same as i plotted myself a few years ago,sun sign scorpio,rising sign virgo.plotting a chart was about as far as i got myself.the astolabe interpretation was pretty accurate to the way i know i am,and does answer a few questions and this is not a complete chart.it has spurred me on to thinking about getting it done properley.

feline -> RE: Astrology (3/28/2006 3:36:35 PM)

My Master and I are both Scorpios. [:)]

RubberWitch -> RE: Astrology (3/29/2006 8:54:17 AM)

When the clock in my kitchen says 10, the clocktower of westminster says ten. I do not consider them to be linked.
People who disbelieve horoscpes and pour cold water with such glib statements as "They don't take sedna into account" possibly don't understand things.
If you're born in winter, in a year where food is bountiful, and your birthday is celebrated a suitable length of time before christmas, your personality, and choices, will be similar to those made by someone in a similar position. and rather different to someone who has their birthday near easte, gets chocolate eggs/birthday prezzies combines, and was born in a year with over average rainfall. Society, culture, seasons and other cyclical patterns affect you. Planets just make good clocks for it.

I’m a Libra. I don’t believe in the 1 in 12 probability thing but I do believe we act in a way we think we are supposed to. This means if you are told growing up what it means to be a specific star sign or have a certain name you emulate the qualities associate with these things. This is why I am quick to judge people and I believe in all that rubbish such as truth, justice and honour.  Please tell me god “Why did you have to make me a set of scales all of my friends got to be animals and stuff. Why am I the only bloody inanimate object?"

Aneirin -> RE: Astrology (3/29/2006 12:09:14 PM)

if the moon has a gravitational pull on our planet,affecting the tides,planting times and i am told 'the curse',why not other celestial bodies.what other forces exist in the universe,what have'nt our scientists discovered yet?mankind does not yet know everything and because of this,i have got to keep an open mind on these ideas.what is a personality anyway?

Cristalin -> RE: Astrology (3/30/2006 12:50:30 AM)

I know enough (Though I'm a little out of practice) to know that whilst it has some merit, there isn't enough to be actualy 'useful', but more than enough to be fun....... Of course I am not talking about the sort of Astrology you get in tabloid rags, just covering sun sign, but rather the entire chart, all the planest, houses, aspects etc.

UtopianRanger -> RE: Astrology (3/30/2006 1:34:00 AM)

Raven...

I dunno.... it seems that the people I've met here and gotten to know, match up with their signs pretty well. Seriously.... One of the first things I want to know about them - What sign are you!

Yes, I would say that is pretty dead on....almost eerily so...lol.....thanks!

sensiia -> RE: Astrology (3/30/2006 3:40:16 AM)

I am  a Leo with Virgo ascending, Cancer descending. I recently had my chart done and read and it was quite amazing how my life path was accurate to what was said to me. I use to be a skeptic about such thungs till it was put before me my childhood right up till now and how the events are being played out today. It is as if I know what will happen yet I do not.

If you go by general astrology without the descending and rising it will not be a true reading or understanding of who you are. There is more that goes into a reading then just a birthday. Readings tend to be expensive but I believe well worth it, if you have all your information correct.

I gave my heart to a cancer

Aneirin -> RE: Astrology (3/30/2006 12:44:01 PM)

Does anyone know of a trusted website where a true, proper and complete reading can be performed.Not necessarily a free site as i am prepared to pay for a full interpretation.

cuddleheart50 -> RE: Astrology (4/2/2006 7:08:40 PM)

Pisces/Monkey

MysticFireTopaz -> RE: Astrology (4/2/2006 7:22:42 PM)

I'm on the cusp of Scorpio and Saggitarius (11/22)
Ascending Sign:  Taurus
Moon Sign:  Cancer

Had the chart done professionally a long time ago, but seem to have misplaced it.  Those are the only ones I remember.

Ms. Topaz
