It was a doe, and since we were about 8 miles from home with a severely damaged little 4 door sedan, at 7pm, in the dark.........I didn't really care about the deer. I am sure the bald eagles that have been hanging out there all winter, enjoyed the fresh venison as an alternative to all the pork they have been eating.

Well, I'm glad you got to walk away from it all! My county leads the state in deer-car incidents. You would THINK that an animal with such excellent night vision could avoid a freakin CAR coming down the road making loud sounds but NO>
