For me, it would be orgasm control.  I love it when my Master/Daddy is making love to me or is doing something wonderfully erotic to me that brings me to that yummy moment, and He tells me to "wait" or "not yet"... and I have to keep from slipping over the edge.  Then when He tells me to "come," it is so intense and often sends me into a lovely subspacey place where I will actually come multiple times before I find my way back into my head and back into His arms.  Then, I look up at Him, and He is smiling at me...  That is something that I would never want to give up...

I could live without BDSM for me its just kinky sex but life is so much more interesting with it there. To see him bound and helpless, his handsome face hidden behind a leather mask with only his ocean blue eyes staring back at me as my hands move over his naked and exposed form. The sound of the  braided flogger tails as they kiss his skin causing him to moan loudly is music to my ears and the sight of his raging hardon is more beautiful then anything I've ever seen. For me that is what I couldn't live without, the knowing that I can bring this tall handsome strong man under my control and have him quiver with a mere look from me. The knowing that I can take him to such sexual heights that he's never known before. and acknowledging that he loves and adores me, as I do him.

Essentially what i would say: What i need and could never do without is the truth about me; what i feel, what i think, what i fantasize.  The relationship only has meaning because it's the one i can be myself, unconcealed in. 
 
As i said to Mistress the last time we parted, "i love You and i don't care if You never tie me up again."  (ahem ... well ... can we go with that as a figure of speech? ... i could give up chocolate too, but i'd miss it a lot.)  But what i meant is, what W/we have is the relationship, and the relationship is the truth of who we are.

I've lived without the play aspects, I've never had a relationship where D/s wasnt a dynamic though...so I guess for me it would be the D/s part I couldnt live without.
I guess, even if I was single I would find some way to have an intimate relationship where I could submit to the relationship, perhaps find myself a Guru or something *grin* So yeah, I reallly really really love living in a sense of surrender and would die without it [:)]

Lordy, lordy.. there is nothing but the basics that I couldn't live without! If my life depended on any one thing outside of basic necessities, I'd be up shit creek without a paddle if that were taken from me. Air, food, water.. I can't live without those.. but BDSM and not having it wouldn't kill me.

For myself it would definitely be orgasm control. Orgasm control was one of the first things I experimented with, when it came to bdsm.
