Forever, I wouldn't like it either, but female submissives are never required to pay tribute to their masters, only male submissives are. This is because they are male and therefore make more money. Having more money means they should give it us women. Whether we are dominants or submissives.

I forgive you your ignorance on this matter as I assume that you are new to BDSM. Welcome!

And that wasn't a mean second post?  As well as sexist and condecending?
Give 'us women' the money?  That's shallow as well.
Meh.  Each to their own.

Mean? Dunno. Sexist yes; though Id classify "give us women the money" as simply damn smart.

You called another person on their 'mean' post, yet you called the OP ignorant, when she clearly isn't and was asking peoples opinions.

I don't dig sexism.

and I wouldn't call it automatically 'smart' unless the woman was cool at money management.  But then I tend to observe individuals and not generalistic shit.

More so, I'd call it off base from reality.

I've recieved and I have given tributes in offline relationships, it was nice, and it didn't involve using someone for financial gain.

OP, start reading in Ask a Mistress and you'll get it. Basically there are tons of male bottoms who want someone to cater to their fetishes and who don't want to give anything to the female dominants in return.

People in a relationship don't do that. But dommes get real tired of these guys and discover that if they are willing to  take on a do me sub, they can get something that makes it worth their while - money.

As far as tribute up front, that's to pay them for all the no shows. They spend tons of time talking online to these guys and want their time recompensed especially because they know when they do ask the guy to meet them at Starbuck's, they will be stood up.

You don't do it to people you are in a relationship with, you do do it to people who don't want to know you outside of playtime.

I find that most that are asking for up front tributes are showing a weakness. After a relationship has developed, then I think they are the perfect thing.

Ok, I'll bite. Why is it a weakness to expect tribute?

Must we call it tribute? I have see the word tribute bandied about far too often out here.

I have seen "tributes" held in the honor of people or that have actually accomplished something in their lives.

They are something "given" not asked for or taken.

A tribute to Stevie Wonder. How nice. A tribute to Wonder bread...Building strong bodies for over fifty years.

There will never be a tribute held for "WonderDomme" that fat assed lazy piece of shit that hasn't held a job for the last twenty years.

Not true. I've been Merc's tribute submissive for quite some time now.

i think i may of came across as i disagree with you, i don't. you are so right. What i am am saying that i don't like is someone demanding money from me and calling it a tribute.

Send me or give me money or you're not a true submissive. We have all seen those threads a dozen times.

That's like saying buy me that diamond ring or you don't love me. i just don't think that is right.

KABOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not quite sure what blew up there, but I hope it wasn't paypal. Because I suddenly feel the overwhelming urge to start a fake dominatrix profile, post some photos of a 19 yo model in a bikini who isn't me and write a profile with a fluorescent pink background telling men how they should speak to me and asking for tribute. Hmmmm

But D-types don't say things like "send me money or you're not a 'true submissive'". They say things like, "I'm not willing to invest my time and gas money into seeing someone who may or may not show up so there's got to be something in it for me."

In cases of FemDoms, the guys expect the women to have all the equipment, all the fetish clothing, and all the toys, and do all the work. I don't think it's unreasonable when setting up a coffee meeting for a D-type to expect the s-type to pay for the coffee or at least offer to do so. Chivalry is often viewed as men approaching women but I think in cases of female s-types and male D-types that it's beyond reasonable to show some effort in interest and intention.

Given the medium that's currently the largest forum of "meeting" is the inernet which removes almost all accountability of follow through, "tribute" is not a signal of sincerity as person, it's a sign of sincerity of intention to follow through.

Again, I don't think it's unreasonable.
