My female partner recently asked me to use a riding crop on her back/shoulders. Previously I have used a elk skin flogger on her back, saving the riding crop for her bottom. My first try with the crop on her back after flogging was "not enough" and didn't leave marks. The next night I left red marks on her shoulders with the crop, but neither of us found it particularly satisfying.

I tend to think that a more aggressive flogger (thinner, stiffer tails) or even a nine tailed cat would be a better toy than the crop for her back/shoulders. Any thoughts on this?

Just give various toys a try and find out what works for you.

Personally... my absolute favorite is a homemade single-tail. They require more experience and skill than a crop but they mark beautifully and feel wonderful.

my Owners keep the crop for breasts nipples and between the legs and thighs .a cane is used on rear and breasts. flogger and whips for back and belly. but it depends on what works you you

Try rubber, cowhide or bullhide for floggers.

It takes some skill and a high pain tolerance but I've also had some good luck using a tawse on the back and shoulders.

Heavy (as in weight) flogger. Stiff-ish leather, many many thick tails might do it. The thicker/stiffer the tails, the fewer of them you need. But if you're working with normal (suede/soft) tails, you'll need a whole lot. Look for a stiff-feeling leather. Normal tail length, however, of 16-28 inches, is desirable. You will look at that sucker and say, "that is a FAT flogger!" The one I experienced was custom-made by someone doing some experimenting, but given the proliferation of toys out there I imagine you could find something similar. Disadvantage: even if you have a strong arm, something like this can be tiring to wield, because it weighs a lot.

Anyone ever play with dampened synthetic or natural fabrics? Like maybe a ShamWow cut into strips and then dampened in something like listerine or witchhazel?

OK a ShamWow would be too absorbant, but hopefully you understand were I'm going with it. I know I've used something that would be perfect but I can't remember what it is now because I wasn't thinking flogging at the time. I was probably washing a car with it.

But I'm thinking a dampened fabric would really wrap and cling.

I haven't athough that would be interesting to try sometime. I have a feeling that it would actually be soothing if dipped in lukewarm to warm water. The closest I've come to anything like that is fire-flogging.

I really enjoy using a rubber flogger....

I know several people skilled with a bullwhip, both parties always seem to enjoy it!
