http://shock.military.com/Shock/videos.do?displayContent=210411&page=3

The video here shows how the UN is attempting to superceed the 2nd Ammendment of the US Constitution without an ammendment, permission of the states, or the people.   And it only takes 51 votes in the Senate.

jlf1961 -> RE: UN Attempting to Superceed the 2nd Amendment (2/18/2010 4:05:33 PM)

To do away with the 2nd amendment requires a constitutional amendment. This is just another conspiracy theory gone viral.

One more thing, if you go to the military.com official website, there is nothing about the story.

shock.military.com is not the official website, it is a conspiracy theory propaganda machine.

DomKen -> RE: UN Attempting to Superceed the 2nd Amendment (2/18/2010 5:13:21 PM)

More fear mongering. The UN Small Arms Conference is aimed at ending the illegal trade in small arms.
http://www.un.org/events/smallarms2006/

Even if the US eventually signs whatever treaty is developed by the conference it won't affect anyone's right to buy a legal weapon from a legal dealer.

pahunkboy -> RE: UN Attempting to Superceed the 2nd Amendment (2/18/2010 5:18:59 PM)

hahaha-  a "legal dealer"  LOLOL.

yeah right.

The link came from their regular e-mail service to which I suscribe.   For those interested in the military and it's going on's it contains lots of useful info.

shock.military.com is ran by whoever owns military.com

One buys the domain military.com any variant of that is under their exclusive control.

like If I buy a domain name example.com no one can use www.example.com videos.example.com shock.example.com as I would own the root example.com

So, shock.military.com is the same as military.com by ownership.

Besides that I just was poking around and there is a link in the drop down list from the main entertainment page to shock.military.com.

Now, one can set up a system to automatically assign user.example.com to a user or something, but again that system would be set up by the owner of example.com

funny how when you pull up the link the big graphic on the screen says military.com "ENTERTAINMENT"  It's not even actually good entertainment.  I swear you people are so fricking easily hood winked.

I think they just kind of missed the mark a bit on this one. I'm as big a 2nd Amendment guy as you'll ever find - "cold dead fingers" type - but I looked into this when it first came up, and I really didn't find anything there. The threat to our 2nd Amendment rights comes from within, I believe.

NeedToUseYou -> RE: UN Attempting to Superceed the 2nd Amendment (2/18/2010 6:05:44 PM)

If anyone thinks that site whether military.com or anything.military.com is an official military site, it isn't by the way. They just own a good domain name is all.

Nonsense.

pahunkboy -> RE: UN Attempting to Superceed the 2nd Amendment (2/18/2010 7:32:28 PM)

the vid tho tho messed up about the NRA.

The NRA has been pretty corrupted.

TricklessMagicia -> RE: UN Attempting to Superceed the 2nd Amendment (2/18/2010 8:17:46 PM)

The dems lost their way with that garbage in 94'. The pro-2nd Amendment folks have the momentum from Heller, the rise of the anti-media, the massive rise in gun ownership(30 million guns in four months), and now McDonald going before the SCOTUS come June. Even if the agreement gets signed the free states will find a way around it. Look at Montana, Tennessee, and Rhode Island to name a few bucking at the powers of the federal government. Long has liberty slept, and like the sleeping dragon it is awakening with a ferocious roar. I became an NRA instructor, know a couple FFLs to help my students get guns, will get mine around September, I do gunsmithing, and I'm working up Self-Defense loads to sell through a Type 6 FFL. You want to preserve the 2nd Amendment, you help bring folks into the fold who otherwise might not have shown up. When I had the free time I did a free shooting group off of meetup.com till I ran out of free time. Once I get a couple more properties(private residences) to lawfully allow me to shoot on their properties then I'll launch my website and host free-instruction shooting days.

Folks are polling as being far more favorable to protecting the 2nd amendment than ever before. We might not ever get rid of the 86' register limit, but we'll push back all those silly-idiotic-impotent pro-Nazi borrowed anti-American ideas that have taken root like a disease weed in a manicured garden.

Arpig -> RE: UN Attempting to Superceed the 2nd Amendment (2/18/2010 8:23:55 PM)

AnimusRex -> RE: UN Attempting to Superceed the 2nd Amendment (2/18/2010 8:26:17 PM)

There are no gun control laws being proposed that I know of, no major politician of either party is proposing any gun control laws, what few gun laws there are, are being relaxed, and people are now free to bring guns into national parks.

So the only way the gun nuts can gin up controversy is to whip up imaginary threats like the Illuminati and Homo-Commu-Nazis (from FRANCE!) threatening to come and take your guns and rape your hamsters.

So yeah, the metaphor of the sleeping dragon awakening is a good one- an imaginary creature against whom Ralphie will defend his family with his Red Ryder lever carbine.

Hoser! Take off, eh!

DarkSteven -> RE: UN Attempting to Superceed the 2nd Amendment (2/18/2010 8:49:06 PM)

Your premise is that the UN is trying to assert control over United States law?

Termyn8or -> RE: UN Attempting to Superceed the 2nd Amendment (2/18/2010 10:12:59 PM)

They always try to do that via treaty or something. The UN fully supports anti-hemp laws, and that is one of the reasons it is so hard to get legalized. They also granted consultant status to NAMBLA in years past. They need to go.

There are many calls to get us out of the UN, and they started way before this. And part of this is their own words.

The UN specifically defines peace as the lack of opposition.

Think about that, and it is right there in their charter.

T

DomKen -> RE: UN Attempting to Superceed the 2nd Amendment (2/18/2010 10:37:08 PM)

Termy why do you insist on spouting nonsense?

The Un Charter:
http://www1.umn.edu/humanrts/instree/auncharter.html
Does not even include the word opposition therefore it cannot define peace as the lack of opposition.

The UN's 1961 treaty on drugs allows industrial hemp to be planted. So no the UN does not 'fully support' anti hemp laws.

Brain -> RE: UN Attempting to Superceed the 2nd Amendment (2/19/2010 12:45:53 AM)

What's scary is there are too many people with guns killing innocents and threatening violence. So happiness is a warm gun for you huh?

Slavehandsome -> RE: UN Attempting to Superceed the 2nd Amendment (2/19/2010 1:03:59 AM)

I wonder which kills more, governments with guns or people with guns?
