The book "The Creature From Jekyll Island," and author G. Edward Griffin, have been mentioned here by several folks over several months. The other day I came across a 12 part series of videos of Griffin discussing the book. It appears that each segment is about 10 minutes long. A link follows to the first in the series:

I never before heard off it.

Thanks for that series, added it to my collection, excellent review!

From what I have observed, I doubt most people here even know what this is about however.

Uncle nasty,

You are a glutton for punishment.

These knuckleheads are not in the least bit interested in this type of thing.

But not to worry- their retirements are being stolen from them as we speak.   even those who are currently retired- get ready to live on 1/3 of your current check.    Seriously.

If things are so scary here, why aren't you and Real shacking up somewhere out of the reach of the big scary black helicopters? I hear the jungles of Costa Rica are beautiful/

I would recommend the Cayman Islands personally, better tax shelters, less drug cartels, and much better health care facilities. Don't forget about the beautiful diving and beaches...

And pretty presumptuous to assume you have special powers enabling you to see and evaluate all investments.

No investment is 100% guaranteed safe--including precious metals.

Every time you explain, it gets sillier and more arbitrary.

I don't do business with Citibank. Haven't for three decades.

Get off your fucking high horse, Princess.

You're generally a lot better off with land or property. I suppose pa's worried that the NWO will confiscate all his property as he's a Kulak.

No, PA, not a glutton. Heck I don't like it at all.

I'm merely trying to provide easy access to information. Griffin, in his book, has done a good job explaining an issue most people have no interest in knowing about in words that are fairly easy to grasp and understand. As for the videos I only watched the first one. Having read the book it seemed repetitive.

Had I really wanted to turn people away I'd have recommended a read of Vieirra's book "Pieces of Eight." 1700 pages, and filled with sooooo many bibliographical references, it is a bit beyond reproach. Vieirra has some ideas that are not really my cup of tea but I take him seriously. Few have more legitimacy as a constitutional scholar. He also stands in the very rare light of being an attorney that has actually taken cases in the US Supreme Court. Four times. And he won three of them. So, yeah, I take him seriously.

I'm glad you posted the vids. Watching vids is often easier, and typically less time-consuming than reading books. I read the book about 12 years ago, so I haven't watched the vids beyond the 1st one yet (thinking repetition myself). But the book most certainly helped set me on the path to where I am today.

The book, though most informative, wasn't the easiest read for me. It did not seem to flow well. I recall that it took many hours for me to complete. Perhaps Mr. Griffin has revised subsequent editions. In any event, these vids may be an excellent alternative for those who are interested in learning the history and profound effects of the Federal Reserve... without investing numerous hours of time.

How our money is created, who it favors, and who it disfavors is of paramount importance to us all. If we really want to see change, we need to ignore the typical rhetoric of politicians, move away from the illusory left vs. right paradigm, and collectively begin to understand what really ails us.

Mr Griffin is an excellent entry-level source for the uninformed.

Hell...I have stayed on Jekyll Island 100's of times....try the Grand Hotel, it is a wonderful place and the golf course is beautiful, but not once have I seen a Creature.
Is anyone sure that this guy wasn't mistaking the nesting sea turtles for some kind of co-conspirators in a bank collapse somewhere?

Actually that has been part of all banks rules for a very long time. You could walk up to a teller and demand tens of thousands of dollars of cash at the end of busy day and that branch might not have that much cash on hand or your withdrawal might exceed how much they keep on hand period. It's never prevented me from making a cash withdrawal of any size I needed.

LOL ... yup, I'm pretty sure...
