Shrew- how this statement gladdens me with a sense of comradery with you dear OP. I'd like to further back up your assessment by saying that we are not the only ones by any means who have observed this sadistic phenomenon, and that it is, indeed, the same people.
Let me explain. There is a groupthink mentality among a certain set of people on the boards. Another set actively avoids this set. The mods have recently instituted a hands-off policy; in fact, people who have been banned for inappropriate behavior are now allowed *back* on these boards. Now, this first group of people so jealously guard their gang mentality, as if it is grade school, that anyone new terrifies their tiny, pathetic worldview. There they go on the attack like predators. Their "prey" once sufficiently and unexpectedly wounded, escapes in fear. However, on occasion, their prey returns and calls them on their behavior- or fights back. This group of predators strangely, collectively puts forth a view that the single victim somehow slighted them or did something quite terrible they clearly didn't; the group will insist on this again and again. In fact, whatever the single, unsuspecting victim had done *should* -morally speaking- be rather heinous to justifiably incur the wrath of this predatory group, their what you called a "carpet-bombing air strike". Yet they don't seem to be able to see themselves at all.
If any of you have heard of this, it's referred to as "blaming the victim".
Also, OP just leave it alone. Don't waste your time. These people post on here 24-7. Every hour, every day. For years. No no seriously. As in like, constantly, they barely sleep and I am unsure how they manage to eat or shower. Look at the times of postings and who is reading the threads at top.
Hey Alice. I HAD years-ago noticed that the typical shrews are indeed on here 24/7. And that, yes, they are exceedingly close-minded (most ironic for a site like this which is supposed to be accepting of what conventional society considers "deviant" behavior). The core group of shrews (and we all know who they are) is basically ruled by base emotion. Lacking all semblance of self-control. Impossible to take seriously. Impossible to respect. Lacking maturity. Hard to keep from just making fun of them. So...it isn't as if I am losing any prospective owners that I'd be able to kneel before here anyhow. I'm not retreating. I am going to stick up for their victims. Thankfully, the shrews are a minute portion of the population on the site overall. But it would be nice for the boards to be free for everybody. I'm not going away shrews--I'm here, I'm queer, GET USED TO IT!
