LilKinkyKitty -> Being a dominate (9/10/2004 10:46:15 AM)

I know this question will sound a bit nive if you will. But are there really Women out there that get paid to Dominate men without having sex? I ask out of curiosity and also because a few close personal friends that know about my 'hidden' life style think that it would be a good idea for me to try to seek it out as a profession.... Anythoughts or idea?

lil Kinky Kitty:

Yes, indeed, there really are Professional Dominatrices who do not engage in sexual activity with their clients. I am one of those Professionals. My clients know beforehand, in no uncertain terms, that Pro-Domination is not sex-for-hire. If they want to have sex following their session they can either bring a partner with them or take it into their own hands, if you will forgive the pun.

Going "Pro" is not to be taken lightly. There are a lot of risks involved in many different areas. Think long and hard before deciding to go Pro.

There sure are. And if interested there is a local professional dungeon with a standing ad soliciting new Dommes AND submissives. We've been to many parties at the facility which rents itself out to local group parties. It's large, very well equiped, and immaculatly clean. We have talked with many of the people who work there and it's a very lucrative occupation.

ProDommes DO NOT have sex with clients, that crosses the boarder into illegal activity and can bring charges of prostitution. You never know for sure if the client is new if they are an undercover vice cop looking for prostitutes. Some hookers will engage in S&M for a client, but that does not make them a ProDomme.

Mercnbeth -> RE: Being a dominate (9/16/2004 9:57:00 AM)

Lilkinkykitty,
As everyone else has said, NO sex is involved with a pro Domme or sub. How to get started? The best and easiest way would be to apply for a job with an established Pro Domme, or a business like the one I described in LA. If you plan on setting out on your own, you have to start it like any other business, and that's probably your biggest hurdle. You'll have to determine price, advertise, purchase equipment, etc.; and you also have to consider personal security
There is a big difference between being a Domme for friends and lovers versus for the general public. You'll need a safe environment to make both your clients and yourself relax. People will be coming to you, and paying you to entertain them. You'll have to possess a creative mind, and have the ability to be "on" in the manner that your clients demand. Paying subs will definitely expect to "Top from Below". You'll have to be "on" and enthusiastically participate even when the paying client is asking for something that repulses you, or their appearance and personality is offensive.

If you really chose this life good luck! Like any entrepreneurial endeavor you'll need to be thick skinned and have enough self confidence to carry out your plan. This is NOT an easy job.
I know I would have a very difficult time. BDSM is my life it is not my livelihood.

i've never had a pro session that included sexual intercourse, but then in most states it's illegal to engage in any form of seuxal activity with a client. In addition to that, if the client happens to be covered in Glad Wrap, they cannot possibly contaminate the environment. This makes pefect politically and socially-correct sense.
