Speaking as someone who lives in a house w/4 cats who constantly climb and jump up on the computer desk....I have 4 words...... Covered cup with a straw........ altho, beer thru a straw......not sure about that......

There is a spray cleaner you can use for the keyboard and the electronic boards underneath the keyboard. I do not recall what it is called, but you should be able to pick some up at an Office Depot. I lost a laptop to Butterhead dumping an entire can of Diet Coke into it. I feel your pain, Jeffff.
