I do not see this as a huge thing... if you noticed in the article I posted from wiki, they have worked out what they want to call themselves I take people as being human beings, get to know them, and then if it is of any importance or the subject comes up I ask them what their label is... it is just easier this way. I do not like labeling others for the most part, I prefer to refer to people the way they ask to be referred to... just me, etc.
