I don't get it at all.  If a slave wants to be a slave and the Owner wants to have a slave, that's it.  The legalities are then meaningless.  OP has wasted a lot of effort on something irrelevant.

As a paralegal who has worked in the Guardianship (Elder Law) field and Estate field, I have to say that as far as the "Guardianship" thing goes, while I can't speak for other jurisdictions, in this area at least, one would be hard pressed to get a guardianship over someone who is not incompetent in some fasion, i.e. mentally, physically, etc. They don't just grant guardianships for any reason. And its a DAMNED expensive process. Not something one could do without an attorney. In addition, the Guardian by law must file an accounting every year, go to court, and maintain the guardianship, and if they don't they are subject to removal.

Don’t you think it is a valid defense to claim you were property and like any pet, your owner should be held responsible? You could stand firmly on the defense that you “were only following orders” as “directed by God” through your church wedding vows to “honor and obey” a “marriage contract licensed by the very state that now prosecutes you”.
