Mercnbeth -> RE: To Boldly Go Where No One Has Gone Before (2/23/2010 7:46:43 AM)

~ Warp Speed Reply ~ In keeping with the SF theme of the thread, I'll go where nobody yet has gone using a reference from the movie we finally went to see Sunday night - Avatar. I feel as if beth and I have our 'tendrils' constantly intertwined. Sometimes at the level of riding on the back of a flying red headed dragon, other times more sensually intertwined exchanging gentle touches akin to Eywa seeds. It's a restrictive relationship situation. In it, you find it difficult to consider any physical act that doesn't include a similar level of intimacy. You can interact with others, include them when desiring to add subtle nuance and flavor into the mix; but the idea of entwining tendrils with someone else is not appealing. Only death will determine if we have mated for life; but we are each years beyond any prior 'personal best' in that department. Considering our similar sensation slut history we must both be experiencing something unique in our life. Neither of us had gone there before. It didn't involve a specific action, or sensation. It doesn't require a toy or prop, although we have a room full that we enjoy regularly. It doesn't involve a need fulfilled, or an itch scratched; unless being so entwined can be representative of that goal. The thing is, it wasn't our goal when we met, it was the result of our meeting. I'm always concerned about writing posts like this. They come off as self serving and aggrandizing. Seven years ago - I would have responded to any such representation as fantasy and mocked it. However it would be a lie to represent my relationship with beth in any other way. Truly, meeting beth and being with her for seven years as of March 1, was where I had never gone before. The voyage continues. I am amazed that each and every day - it just keeps getting better. Merc & beth review of Avatar Merc: I enjoyed it, because I abandoned reality going into the theater. I was distracted and started a little game of trying to think of all the other movie plots James Cameron stole. I only broke out laughing at one opportune moment when I said to beth that I hope Kevin Costner got writing/directing credit for the stolen 'Dances With Wolves' scenes. However, abandoning thoughts of agenda serving plot lines, it was a beautiful movie to see, especially in IMAX - 3D. beth: "This slave felt soiled and ripped off". It was like every movie ever made shoved into a computer animation machine. As this example would illustrate, being 'entwined' does not mean, or require, agreement. I don't think we would have lasted 7 days if beth 'head-bobbed' to every word or idea out of my mouth. she is a strong willed, intelligent woman. I value and seek out her opinion; even when, as in this instance, she is dead wrong!
