I was going through some of my stuff this morning and was reminded that I used to participate in Bookcrossing.com. At first, I thought it would be a cool and generous way to connect to people. As time went on, it became clear that people liked free books (there was a designated drop-off spot at a coffee shop on Missoula), but not commenting on them after they were read. In fact, after almost ten years, of the two dozen books that I "released into the wild", I had only two comments- both from books that I'd read for the feminist book club that I was participating in at the time. Does anyone else here have any experience with Bookcrossing.com?
