There have been many times that I have disappointed by false promises made by those calling themselves submissive, this is true. However, no matter how disappointed I am in THAT particular person, that emotion does not transfer over to someone else. Every person who I contact or contacts me starts off with a clean slate. If I allowed past disappointments to color my view on everyone, I would be isolated and would never meet anyone. Therefore, I give people the benefit of the doubt, even a base level of trust; it is up to them, based on their actions whether or not that trust continues or deteriorates.
You submissive men are not the only people who get scammed on here. I spoke with a man for about 3 months, made plans to meet, etc. I sent him a small gift (it wasn't money) because something tragic had occured and he was down. After I sent the gift (which couldn't be readily sold and had no real monetary value, only sentimental), I stopped hearing from him.
Yes, that hurt my feelings. It made me feel as though I had been duped. However, shortly after that, I still met up with someone else and did not hold that experience against the newer person.
If people allow the bad things that happen to cause them to become bitter, vindictive, and angry, that anger will eat them up. That anger will cause them FAR more trauma than sending out a gift to someone ever will.
