I'm with RS. I've never been one for reinventing the wheel. Each letter only stands for one word, just like any other acronym. With that said, I still didn't vote. This is because I would be too pulled between discipline and sadism to pick one over the other.

Nooo! Another pointless discussion about what BDSM means! [;)] Can't vote. When I think of BDSM, I imagine it's something the Old Guard do, and their newer adherents, whatever you want to call 'em. What I do, although you might find BDSM practitioners doing similar things, claims no resemblance to it at all.

It is difficult to pick just one. As a switch, I enjoy both sides of the restraints. For me, bondage is the most fun. But there are aspects of each of the others that motivate me, too. I enjoy clamps, flogging, riding crops...so that moves into the pain aspects of the activities. I wouldn't say a sadist or masocist in the strictest sense of the word, but in those areas to some degree. I idea of a beautiful leather clad Domme in boots and my being at her feet, being told to lick her boots...works for me. So that moves into the Dominance/submission arena. When I'm the Top, again, bondage, clamps, flogging, crops, etc. Whatever she and I are into. So yeah, its difficult to select only one description for the poll. But I love bondage involved in all of it, so that's why I selected it.

I think the S is my main focus, from either side of the kneel. If I'm with DB, it's because I'm wondering what horribly awful thing He has thought up to do to me. If I'm topping someone else, I'm wondering just how horribly awful I can be to that person.
