She's just signed a deal for a D6 RPG.

Work should start, at least the basics, on the first book next month.

That could be either good or bad, depending on who designs the game mechanics.  It's "Lackey", btw.

Mistroke on the keyboard, and unfortunately I don't know how to edit titles on threads, or I'd go back and fix it.

D6 is the system that will be used. Close to the system that was used in the old Star Wars RPG's, however, there are new rules being written to deal with the relationship aspect/romance, and instead of D6 classic, this is the new D6 dramatics system.

A D6, isn't that one of those big Caterpiller bulldozers?

In this case it refers to die with 6 sides.

I know the first source book will be for the Arrows trilogy. Then, I believe, the Magic trilogy.

I'm bringing 3 Mercedes Lackey books on my trip on Sat. Finishing up Melanie Rawn series now. Yes, major dork, I read these books when I was about 13, so I figured it was time for another trip into fantasy land...

I started reading her work in my mid teens and I go back and re-read them on a regular basis.

Read some of her stuff. I have an issue with RPGs that are tied too closely to a particular fantasy series, they tend to constrict the DM's imagination.

And as for the nerd...well just read my sig line
