I am quit new into the bdsm and exploring it with my Master. I want to try all kinds of things although sometimes without the equipment it can be hard to do so. Some of the prices out there are expensive. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on sites where me and my Master can go to, to get some toys such as pony play, doggy play, and bdsm equipment that are not expensive and at a reasonable price? I am deeply interested in pony play with my One and looking for a great pony tail and butt plugs. Thank you for your adive and response. It is very much appreciated.

Have you done a search in this forum for puppy and pony play equipment?

This thread http://www.collarchat.com/fb.asp?m=3048575 has some absolutely fantastic ideas for pony play. I also love to visit a tack/riding store.  For puppy play, PetSmart is a great place to shop.

Using your imagination and creativity to come up with simple solutions is more fun and sometimes cheaper than any toy you can order.

*Edited to add.... this link http://equuseroticus.com/about-pony-play/storms-do-it-yourself-resource-guide  might be helpful for pony play ideas.  Google is your friend.

The Dollar Store is your friend [:D]
Collars, leashes, bowls, doggie toys that are easy to make gags out of; a little imagination goes a long way.
Also, if you read back through this forum, there are many threads on DIY toymaking. Simple floggers and such are easy to make, at a fraction of the cost you see them for online.

The Dollar store is a great idea. I've found some very useful items there. I found a little feather duster and some rubber bicycle handles that can be used as a handle for a lot of other home-made toys. There are some very nice clips and clamps and straps.  In the kitchen aisle there are long wooden spoons and spatulas and I bought a whisk that I flattened out. In cosmetics you can find an eye mask, and a foot scrubber is great for smacking in small areas or abrasion and they also have these scratchy gloves used for scrubbing in the shower but make a great abrasion or sensual item.

Not to mention those nasty bamboo backscratchers [:D]
I recently bought a wooden hairbrush at the Dollar Store that's going to make a lovely little paddle, and I have a set of velvet "scarves" that are several feet long and great for bondage.
Yup the Dollar Store rocks!

In addition to the Dollar Store, check some of the bigger better thrift stores in your area. They tedn to have a nice selection of leather belts, long scarves, assorted kitchen utensils that are convertable pervertables, and the role play and knife play crowd can usually find suitable attire and disposable clothing. Tractor Supply has crops at a reasonable price, and Walmart can't be beat for dog collars, leashes, etc.

I was with you until this part. Mine came from the DS, and they are even all reflective to keep puppy safe at night [:D]

That said.... Walmart is yet another place that rocks for pervertables! They carry a thing that is supposedly a rod to hang clothes in the backseat of your car, but any perv can plainly see is really an adjustable spreader bar. Other "Wally World" finds include: Pro thickness ping pong paddles (ouchie!), Bungees and tie downs of every description, "come alongs" and ratchets, rope, chain, "wrist wraps" that make good cuffs with a few modifications, bicycle inner tubes (for making majorly ouchie rubber floggers), and all manner of other fun stuff.

Oh, and don't forget Dom Depot... err... Home Depot. Don't let anyone fool you, that place is the twue perverts' "Toys-R-Us"! [:D]

Thank you all for the wonderful ideas. Me and my one have actually hit the dollar store a couple of times.Sometimes we get lucky and come out with some new toys but other times we dont find nothing. We also have gone to the goodwill store and my one found a really nice chain that can go around my waist! I wear it like a collar around my waist. But thank you again for some really neat ideas and where to get them. :)

Get drunk (Not in a stupor!), put yourself into a creative/sadistic mode, and head over to your local Home Depot, or AKA: Dom Depot.  Personally, I've found that while being in this state your mind seems to see things in a different light then in a sober state.

You can get all kinds of different feels and sensations from the same style of toy, but different make. Such as, nylon rope flogger (Cheap way is to just create a knot for the handle in several strands) vs a flogger made from hemp rope. They may not look like much, depending on how much work or creativity you put into them, but sometimes the ugliest or silliest looking toys can bring out the best play! As hit on previously... anywhere and anything can be "pervertable."

Pony Tail.
Buy a butt plug wherever and go to Tandy leather and buy a hank of horse hair.  If you really want horse hair, otherwise, buy synthetic.
Take a knife and dig out the plug in the end of the typical black butt plug, tape the hank of hair with a 3/4 wide piece of that tape made of cloth.  Dip it in rubber cement let it set, dip it again insert it into the hole in the end and you should be set.   This idea can be amended to include any number of tails and the plugs only run about $15.  For an organic, somewhat humiliating tail, try corn.  Lol, for details of that one skim my journal  for the entry on how to make a pet.

For the bits and real accoutrement of a pony, I'd check out tack shops.  Online and stores.  I haven't done it in many years, but when I was looking for toys, I found the tack shops to be excellent sources for all kinds of things.  A good chunk of what the kinky stores sell, comes from generic sources and uses.

PrimalConsonance -> RE: Low prices (3/5/2010 10:24:46 AM)

When at the home improvement store next time, drop by the paint department and pick up a couple of the large paint stirrers.  At the tack shop, the crops there are a fraction ($3 to $5 each) of what you'll see online ($25 or more each).  If at some time you decide to start playing with wax, then a trip to Wyldhrt's favorite store would be good...you can get a tarp, and those nice religious candles that are sold there for about $1 to $2 a piece are made with the correct type of wax (note:  instead of a flame to melt the wax, using a (small to medium) crock-pot with water, will melt the wax just fine) that works very well.  While you're there, you can pick up a small paint brush or ladle for delivering the wax in creative ways.  Goodness, you can also get some of those nice plastic clothes pins (if sadistic the ones with little teeth) to use and reuse OR just pick up a big bag of nice wooden ones for fun ($2 or so a bag).  All good, and good luck!

Ladynslave -> RE: Low prices (3/5/2010 2:02:57 PM)

If you are handy and even usually if you are not, but good at following directions, you can make your own bridles to fit the measurements you need.  Simply hit a tack shop for bits, d rings, and the like and a leather supplier (sometimes your local saddle maker sells skins) for supplies.  There are tons of books out there and the last I looked, Amazon.com was offering free shipping on orders of $25 dollars or more (one or two books usually put you over the limit.)

Most Dollar Stores carry shower curtain liners. They are a good size and fit in a toybag much better than a tarp [;)]
As for a crock pot to melt wax, Big Lots is your best bet. I have found tiny ones there for about $5, and bigger ones for $10.
