Termyn8or -> Paltalk ? (2/25/2010 8:43:38 PM)

Anyone have any experience with it ? I know someone on it and while CM is fine, this has some pretty cool features.

When it comes to music you can play into the mike and be heard all over the world. Now they are working on another system by which people can play with each other online. There are limitations however. The first person plays, the second gets it and plays with it, then the third gets it with it's own propogation delay, and it sorts itself out basically because it is only additive. In other words any subsequent players get it with all the propogation delays evened out and built in. It seems to work.

Anyone used it, or even heard of it ? Last I heard there was someone in Germany playing with someone in Austrailia. I think that's pretty cool. While it'll never replace CM, if I get froggy and decide to play the guitar I might like to give it a whirl.

I have used Pal Talk in the past.  However, when you sign up it appears that you agree to allow them to put some spyware on your computer...or so it seems.  Last time I thought about downloading their program I started to read the agreement and wasn't comfortable with it.  Whether they do it or not, I just do not care for their chat program as well as Yahoo.   The karaoke nights are kinda fun to listen to.

Heck...I remember when Pal Talk was just a little thing....a few rooms with maybe 10 people per room.  Of course, that was more than 10 years ago.  They sure have grown since then.
