Status: offline 		Not meaning to be too critical, but I can't help but notice a common trend here. The vast majority of the people that have been insulting me are either hideously ugly or old and hideously ugly. While the people that have been defending me are generally attractive.

I must have pissed off all the ugly people with my unshakable preference for my particular idea of physical beauty. It's too bad there isn't a button that lets me block all the bitter, jealous ugly people.

Status: offline 		I've read this whole thing.  The bottom line question that I've got for the OP is, how's your approach working so far?  From what I've seen in the thread, it doesn't seem to be. 

It seems to Me that you're looking for someone who would be a pretty good catch.  In return, it doesn't appear that you are offering much except for a fix it up project in yourself.  It doesn't come off as attractive.  It comes across more like you want someone to come along and make you a person that you haven't been able to achieve on your own.  Now, why should someone settle for that when they can have someone who has already taken care of their own issues?  If you were a submissive, which type of person do you think you'd like to hand over authority to?

The way it's coming across, it sounds like you want to own someone who you can control so they will fix you and you can assure that they won't cheat on you.  That you still have some issues because in your relationships in the past, you were cheated on and now you want to ensure that doesn't happen again.  Has it occurred to you that if the relationship material were better (you), that might not have happened in the first place?  It's not the same thing as a violent crime, where the victim has nothing to do with it.  In all seriousness, you may want to look at that.

At 31, you might want to consider the fact that many of those 'grandparents' that you so quickly dismiss have more life and relationship experience than you and like it or not, might have some worthwhile things to say.  I've got news for you.  Some of us grandparents have the lives and the relationships that we want because we were mature enough to build them.
