These assholes are not serious about reform. They are wasting time with this bipartisan bullshit and using it as an excuse to do nothing. They can go to hell - Barack Obama and the Democratic Party can go to hell. I recommend supporting the coffee party in the future. A good strong dose of caffeine will straighten these morons from both parties out.

The Democratic Party's deceitful game

They are willing to bravely support any progressive bill as long as there's no chance it can pass.

Dems take a second look at GOP proposals, including tort reform - TheHill.com

There is a growing sense among Democratic lawmakers that an effort should be made to include GOP proposals in healthcare reform legislation in the wake of Thursday’s summit.

This has given an opening to centrist Democrats who want to take on trial lawyers by reforming medical malpractice law. These centrists say that Republican policy makers have made a strong case for lawsuit reform and it would be in the best interests of healthcare reform to meet them part-way.http://thehill.com/homenews/house/84021-democrats-take-a-second-look-at-gop-proposals-including-tort-reform

I totally agree. The Democrats are dead to me.

All this sudden talk of 'super majorities' stinks to high heaven.

We're literally inches away from a proper Orwellian state.

That being said, naming your new party in reference to psychopath-losers isn't a good idea.

The difference is real, but largely diversionary.

Our society works by setting up a series a 'social' issues (e.g., how black Obama is, when life begins in the uterus, etc.) to divert attention away from simple highway robbery and upwards redistribution of wealth.

Actually computer problem and I think it has something to do with HTML. Whenever I choose numbers 3,4,5 and six for some reason the text is really tiny and the only one that is large is number 7. Right now I'm using Windows 7 so I don't know if it's because I'm using a new version of Windows instead of XP or Windows 98.

Another computer problem I have is I can't use any of the smileys.  I click on them and nothing happens. They are all dead and frozen like concrete. I really don't want to use the large text but it's either that or the really tiny text they are the only choices that work. I hope that explains why I'm using large text and if anyone can look into this to see if I'm doing something wrong or to corroborate this is true I would appreciate it. I don't think I'm peculiar or strange - that's not the reason this is happening.  By the way, that was very funny what you said about road signs.

Excuse me but your Republican Party has huge assholes too.  Duh. And I don't see you criticizing them, how about being objective. Let me hear you say the Republicans are assholes, I'd like to read that from you for a change.

I have come to the conclusion when I hear somebody like Russ Feingold coming out with this bullshit recently how he has philosophical problems using reconciliation and Sen. Rockefeller from West Virginia with the same manure that means the vast majority of the Democratic Party except maybe Anthony Wiener and that guy from Florida, I forgot his name now -you have to say 75% of the Democratic Party is corrupt and FUCKED.

And I hope I'm not going to see a lot of you guys become bandwagoners without saying anything about the Republicans. Because I will tell you right wingers now, the Republican Party is 100% corrupt.

I disagree with your percentages, but that is not a big deal. I think most of all elected officials are corrupt, perhaps that has to do with where I grew up. No bandwagon for me, the GOP is just as responsible for many of the problems facing us as a nation.

As to reconciliation, even the man that crafted the rule, and the addendum to the rule says that it wouldn't and shouldn't be used for the purpose of ramming healthcare through.

I don't think it's fair to slam any particular party for this sort of behavior. This has been a time honored strategy on both sides of the aisle in both chambers of Congress. Always bear in mind  - it is the goal of every elected official in Washington who is not retiring to be re-elected to their position. They will do or say what they have to to achieve that end.

Perhaps if you tried engaging in discussions, instead of just spamming us with every scrap of talking point du jour nonsense that passes your screen, you might have some idea of where other posters stand.

Oh, I don't know. Have you read '1984'? It reads like a 'how-to' for our government, right down to the use of torture, errr I mean renditioning, errr I mean advanced interrogation techniques...

We're in a state of constant war, with enemies that are constantly changing and whom we don't understand in the slightest bit. (Even the "Iraq" to "Iran" shift demonstrates the kind of linguistic games that Orwell emphasizes). Our education and media is 95% propaganda. 99.9% of the population does not distinguish Sunni and Shiite. Etc. Etc.

What the hell is a war on terror? Or drugs?

That should be enough to get started with.

Like I say, if you vote "Dem" or "Repub" you're throwing your vote away.
