This series of maps adjusts the appearance of red/blue states for the 2008 election to account for population, the electoral college, county by county votes, and percentage of red/blue votes rather than winner take all.

Wow so they are catching on there is more than the lftee rightee in the world?

Just think if they can only wrap their minds around the FACT that its NOT government but corporations and all we are doing is voting in a new CEO then maybe they would get what they want out of government.

Of course not to fear partisanship of the people among the people and for the people will never happen.

Kewl set of displays.

Half the fun with gathering data is figuring how to present it, or how to find trends in the data.  I've had to sit and tinker in Excel and MATLAB before to find clear ways to present stuff.

It would be really cool to have them slowly morph from election to election to election.

But this nicely highlights trends and conditions even the election data don't show well.
