I've noticed that many domme's have 'actively seeking: male dominants' on their profiles. Yet when I read their profiles no mention of male dom's are to be found. And I'm not sure why a domme, particularly one's that are looking for subs, would include male dominants in their actively searching criteria. I've seen many instances of this throughout the site. Can someone explain this for me?

Without knowing anything more, I assume that it's some scammer who threw together a profile without thought.  Post a pic of a gorgeous woman, write a semilegible profile, and contact gullible men.

It could be to do with the fact that the categories we are able to choose from don't cover every lifestyle possibility.  While I am not one of them, there are probably Dommes who, in addition to wanting a sub, would like a Dom to fill some role in their lives. I do see  poly Dom/Domme couples occasionally.
Then again, and more likely, it could be a scammer who is simply targeting as many men as possible.

Did they also select "actively seeking: friends"?  I like men.  All types of men, submissive, dominant, switch, 'nilla.  Men are pretty cool.  I get along better with men than I do with women. 

I wouldn't want a dominant male for an intimate partner, but for a friend, absolutely.  Why not?  They can be evil geniuses.  I like evil geniuses.

I could be someone who enjoys bottoming, but is not comfortable with a switch label, because they do not actually feel submissive in any way.  There are no categories for top, bottom, sadist, or masochist here, so they may be trying to work with what is available.

I seek dominant men for equal-level romantic partnerships. I also make friends regardless of orientation.

I haven't checked mine, but we're always open to welcoming new Keepers of either gender who fit with the philosophies and styles of the House, with or without their own servants in tow... so if it's there on mine, it's an acknowledgment of that reality for our situation.

I thought Dom/Domme couples were fairly common?  Just because they don't beat *each other* doesn't mean they don't still have fun.  I've often seen leather families with Dom/Domme couples...

Also, people do look for like-minded friends.

It could also be a mistake - for a long time, we had on our profile that we were seeking females and couples ... which we aren't. Mistakes do happen.

I am sure some are like me, seeing a Dom on his hands and knees might be as hot for them as seeing a Domme kneeling before me with her mouth open is as hot for me.

I might be the odd one here but ... i would rather not be angry with my slave. I would rather have submission from the heart and soul rather then Me angrily demanding it. This does not mean I do not have an edge.
