Would bob really fake a profile/steal a pic just to post on the forums?

People do this, but I doubt Bob would.  He's always been an "I am who I am" guy on these boards.  I frankly don't understand why he pisses so many people off.  He is who he is, and part of his reality is his lack of interest (or ability) to engage in dialogue.  Ok fine.  Easy enough.  I don't engage in dialogue with people who won't engage in dialogue with me.  I have plenty of better things to do.

yeah, i just didn't get a "this is bob" vibe. i don't like the op, but i didn't get that bob vibe. then again, i don't have a lot to go on.

it's weird, i've chatted with him and he's trolled me/accused me of being a troll, but when i tread on eggshells we can get a semblance of conversation. i wish he'd be more flexible on his opinions, tho.

edited to add that i haven't been a saint to him, so it's not like I H8 BOB, I'M PERFECT, GRR.

Yeah.  It's pretty much pointless to go fakehunting.  Worse than pointless.  An otherwise decent thread gets turned into a witch hunt.  Besides, so what if the profile is "fake?"  There are lots of people who have both dom and sub profiles, or both single and couples profiles.  And they're not necessarily lying to anybody.  Their husband or wife may have 100% knowledge of what they're doing, etc.

It's like the OP of this thread.  He said, "Why show nude pics if you want to attract a guy who will like you for your personality?"  Well, by the same token, why post in a way that shows your ass if you want to elevate the IQ of the average thread?  Not not not saying you are doing this, pillowdreamer.  I'm saying I hope you don't start.  Hopefully posters who have this habit will grow out of it someday.

And about that other topic..... I noticed Bob tried to argue with Seven.  Not a wise move.  Hopefully this will make the atmosphere around here a little lighter -- more hearts and puppy dogs for pretty pillowbiters everywhere![;)]

I got buried too by instant masters but I know of men who have sent well written introductions and get blown of as only so much blah, blah, blah. I know, I've read some. Any sub that doesn't consider the articulate, mature dom, may need to get real lucky to find that perfect man.

on another kink site that'll remain nameless, i have a "sub" and a "switch" profile. not faking, because they're both me and both true, but people who message me on one profile know they're getting somebody who prefers to sub, and when i'm messaged on the switch profile... well, it's usually by tactless male subs. but point well taken.

i see your logic and raise you one irrelevant kitty.

SurrenderForMe -> RE: Finding a good "Dom" (3/3/2010 11:56:56 PM)

I think it is because most people are not professional marketers and do the best they can.  This is a kinky site, but still a dating site.  Common wisdom is that if you want to get hits, you provide some spice.  From there, one can weed out the quality from the quantity.

I tend to take IQ points off for the people who post most of the pictures I've seen, except face shots and a few professional looking photos.  But that is a personal preference.  People that post sexy pictures may get a lot of crap, but they also get more quality in their quantity, so their odds increase.
