Greetings all,

Due to the exorbitant amount of troll postings, perhaps we should permit the trolls THIS tread to do their trolling?

It would allow for either the newbies or idiots who can't seem to get their minds wrapped around what the rules are here, (not posting personal ads in the message board section) an opportunity to scout each other out.

i know i am not the only one with a decreasing amount of tolerance for trolls and their behavior.

What say we move the "Top ten Troll messages" into this section, and as trolls crop up in other areas, we move them here?

Barring that, perhaps we could include a forum on "Ask a Troll" ??

i look forward to everyone's (including the trolls!) replies!

That's a good set of ideas. How about also having a 'My First Post' forum. Some of what look like trolls are often inexperience. best, nadine

Of course I can think of 2 conflicts right off the bat:

1) Most trolls either do not consider themselves that, or are new enought to not even know what a troll is. Or, if they do, don't care but don't want to be *labeled* as such so a title like that would be ignored.

2) As far as *my first post goes*, the problem we have had seems that people aren't reading and seeing the response to adds. So it would still change nothing. One new person would come in, see an old heading such as *seeking slaves in NC* or something, click *new post* and post.

As far as the rest goes, I look at it this way. If the add is from a submissive or slave, they show they are not good at following orders. If it is by a dominant, they show they do not care about *procedure*, and if they do not follow basic guidelines that are clearly stated, I would be concerned about their ability to do things safely with a submissive or slave.

If they learn from their mistake, apologize, and do not repeat it, then I chalk the first error up to being human. If they continue to do it, or get defensive, it speaks volumes..

Or you could take my approach to most of them. Ignore them. They then give up easily without a fight. Wander down their little path of life.

Change their subject into something informative for the whole group. How many times has a topic started as one thing and changed to another?

I agree. Most trolls completely give up if you just don't respond. I have always wondered why people get so irritated at trolls, junk mail, and junk email...just delete it... grins

Frankly, I see no reason to patronize or accommodate trolls, especially since the posted policy forbids what we refer to as trolling, placing personal's listings in the message board areas.

How much interesting commentary have you read lately at slavefarm? Notta, because the whole board has literally become a troll zone. This board has started off by forming a nucleus of lifestylers that will establish the ultimate status of this board. If we start accommodating/patronizing those who cannot, or do not want to read the published board rules/guidelines, let alone the unwelcome posts to their threads... AND retitling of many as "Troll - original title"... this board will be headed down troll highway indeed.

If any deviations to established rules are to be considered, debating them here is fruitless, as we don't make the rules/guidelines... feed your suggestions to the management of this message board, and let them decide what deviations to their established rules will be made, if any.

Another note, we've now started recieving "I need to get laid tonight" threads posted... so if you accommodate/patronize some... what about all, it's only fair. Now you'll need to consider a "timeframe sensitive" 'get laid' forum also... am I right?

Screw em'... maintain established policy and rules until changed from above.

Does anyone here want to "get laid tonight" by someone with a sense of urgency that makes rules/guidelines 'optional' for them?

More likely not caring about someone else's procedure. Doesn't imply a lack of common sense or lack of capability to responsibly care for another human.
Like you say, guidelines. That means reading them, then going your own way with the guidelines as a reference.

Some people have a "rainman like" urge for having everything in perfect aligned order. (strong personality type Sensing)
Other people prefere the creativity of apparent chaos. (strong personality type Intuition / Perception)

Different people are different.

Add a strong dose of dominance into the mixture, and some people more or less are incapable of doing what you suggest without making a very strong conscious efford about it.
