fullofgrace -> what are you grateful for? (3/29/2006 10:42:05 PM)

i find gratitude journals/postings to be really uplifting, especially when i'm feeling down. what are you grateful for today?

i am grateful for building a deeper long distance friendship through packages and letters with a woman i've known sort of as an acquaintance for some time. i never realized how much we had in common, or how much we had the ability to brighten each other's lives, before. :)

i am grateful for my amazing roommates! we had a lovely time sitting around talking earlier...i was blessed to end up with such great roomies, even though we were random selection.

i am grateful for having enough money. my medical bills are ridiculously expensive and it's putting an undue financial strain on me, but i am SO blessed to have more than i need and to be financially well off by many standards, even as a "poor college student." the spirit of abundance just inspires so much gratefulness in me, and it inspires me to do more for others since i am in a position where i can.

i am grateful for having a Dominant who cares about me, in whom i can trust and place my faith completely, and who values my presence in His life as much as i value His presence in mine.

What a great thread!

i am grateful for being in love with the man who owns me - it was not a condition of my being enslaved to Him, so i am really happy about it.

i am grateful to live where i live - if i were to win the lottery and could afford to live anywhere, i would still have a home here... not everyone can say this! i am grateful for a blanket of dazzling stars in the night sky, the way the evening shadows fall across the mountains, and all the other zillion reasons i want to always live here.

i am grateful my children are rasied. Do not get me wrong, i love my family, i would not trade them for anything, but it is sooooooooooo nice to have this time to focus on Master, myself, and O/our lives together.

i am grateful for my friends. Some of them are closer than family will ever be!

My list could go on and on....

I am greatful for chocolate and having wonderful friends, both in this lifestyle and not in the lifestyle.  I am greatful that I know and understand myself.  I am greatful for having the greatest grandparents on the face of this Earth.

Best,

LaMalinche

I'm grateful to have a home after Hurricane Rita.

I'm grateful to have a job that I not only enjoy, but which allows me to help others.

I'll echo one of LaMalinche's.............I'm grateful to know who and what I am, and be happy with the knowledge.

For My grandson born 3 1/2 weeks ago.  He gave us a scare, and made an early entrance, but all seems well now.
He is handsome, charming, and clever. He can stretch, yawn, pee, poop, nurse, and open one eye to give Me a disdainful look.  He will be playing in concert at Canegie Hall next week!  *Smile*
I never thought I would be so sappy about becoming a grandma!

I am very grateful that hubby forgave me for my affair and that it has strengthened our relationship and that he supports me on this journey.

I am  grateful to have raised two wonderful daughters who have found their way in this world, and to my late parents for their support and love over the years.

I am also grateful for all of the advice and support given on this site and to CM for giving us an outlet to voice our opinions and share experiences.

I'm grateful for a possible second chance with someone I love deeply and the only person I want to give my submission to.

Today I am grateful for the large Starbucks Americano Caffe that sits beside my laptop. It's not been a stellar day. But, just being alive and well enough to drink this, just having the cash in my pocket to afford this little luxury, and just having the time to sip it at my leisure is enough to be grateful for, I think.

i am grateful for Love

i am grateful for Master

i am grateful for my family

i am grateful for awesome friends

i am grateful for my job, and a wonderful boss.

And not to bring things down but i have to say it today, i am grateful my nephew's 2nd attemt to take his life this week failed.

Like cin, i am very grateful for coffee.

fullofgrace -> RE: what are you grateful for? (3/31/2006 12:01:16 AM)

ownedgirlie, i am also very, very grateful that your nephew is still here.

i am grateful for breathing - i don't stop often enough and think about what a blessing it is to just -be- here. i used to not be particularly keen on life. i am learning new things about myself and my ability to let go of old perceptions now. i was thinking earlier about how much i love that i'm learning to live my life the way i want, and how blessed i am that i don't have to spend the next few decades trying to please everyone else and live for other people - that i am learning a different, truer pattern.

i am grateful for art, the ability to make art, art supplies. i am going to go curl up with my crayons and a coloring book and drift off into dreamland. :)

ownedgirlie -> RE: what are you grateful for? (3/31/2006 7:26:58 AM)

fullofgrace, thank you :)

Speaking of art - i am grateful for beauty.  i do not mean physically beautiful people, i mean by way of art (Renior comes to mind), music, nature, scultpures, poetry, etc.  They feed the spirit.

MrRodgers -> RE: what are you grateful for? (3/31/2006 12:00:36 PM)

GRATITUDE
Is there such a thing as a purely self made man ? We are brought into this world into a particular place. We come to this particular place...likewise. It's easier to make a go of it here and isn't it here that we can be proud of our accomplishments even though that pride rests on what most of us couldn't have done, but...here ? It could have been all in realtime (from the vanilla world) but the odds are expotentially longer for success. No, we don't use this as an alternative to dependency and selfishness. What we have done here, we have done ourselves. We are here to give and receive and that we have done...with gratitude.

Submotive -> RE: what are you grateful for? (3/31/2006 11:10:37 PM)

i am grateful for vision both physical and psychological
i am grateful for the friends that are there to hold me when i feel uncertain and to reach for me when they are
i am grateful for scents - their illusiveness that create a desire for more and at the same time happiness for their memory
i am grateful for my talents and tremendous creativity, the awe they strike in me and the joy in sharing them with others
i am grateful - so very deeply grateful - for Master - His kindness, graciousness, insight, patience and love.
i am grateful for the sounds of music - thousands of notes and chords blended together with such intonation, such power and radiance
i am grateful for the lakes, the ducks, the sun, the wind, the rain
i am grateful for those wiser than i who know when to dry my tears and when to boot me in the butt
i am grateful for the gift of life itself - i will never understand it but i will always treasure it
