serveatherpleasu -> In search of Mistres and direction (3/3/2010 1:35:58 PM)

Hello, it has taken me a long time to decide that this is what I need to do and then to decide where to try to find some direction. I am a 50 yr old male  6 ft 220 lbs a little overweight and in need of some help. after 20 years I lost my job my marriage fell apart, and in retrospect it all comes down to my failings. I believe that I need someone to tear me down and build me up into a better person.
That is how I got here, it will be a long journey, I hope a productive one.

Welcome.

I hate to say this, but the Dominas I've known tend to want men that aren't projects.  Providing a little direction and discipline is okay, but being the provider of all the direction for you... See how much you can strengthen yourself first.

Welcome to CM but don't rush in to what might lead you to disaster.

Welcome.

DarkSteven is right....you talk of needing your character rebuilt in your journal entry, this would be a huge red flag for me.  Work on that yourself, your ethical strength and integrity, that which is your character...why would anyone want to take on such a project of rebuilding a person from the inside out?

I'm not saying this to be hurtful, I'm saying it as a reality check.  Good luck.

welcome to the forums, read the threads in the Ask a Mistress section and note the posts from some of the male submissives there and learn from them. [:)]

This part in your profile worries me i will become a part of something greater than myself, i will belong to someone, and will know that should i have problems, doubts, or need help that i can turn to her for the guidance that i will continually need.  You sound like you will be a LOT of work for someone and I do not know how many people would want that.

As Steven and CarrieO have said a lot of the things you are wanting do come from within and in my mind submitting is about showing a a Dominant that you are choosing to submit to them because you are strong, not because you are weak and want to be fixed.

I wish you all the best in your life, it sounds like you have had a rough few years [:)]

(in reply to OP)

As a domme who gets off on ownership, I wasn't detered by the analogy of the painter creating a masterpiece. However, the list of your character traits that were said to be missing or recessed included both honesty and trust. The cornerstone of a d/s relationship is trust. If you cannot bring with you the quality of being trustworthy--and you're missing honesty, I don't see how you can expect any Mistress to consider you.

A minor mistake: the repetition of the word "tenant" mildly bugged me. Would like to see you fix that error.

A warm welcome to CM and best of luck.
MsM
